Wow! My son and I are traveling through Richmond and stopped for dinner. This place was amazing! We had the chorizo dip which was incredible. I had the pollo chori and he had the burrito especial. Both were so good. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever eaten at and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

The owner really has a horrible attitude and is willing to let money walk out the door just to prove a silly point. Horrible management. Had already purchased food at dinner rate and he just had to come by and try and tell me I was trying to take advantage. We printed both receipts and looked at the price as the hostess very calmly noted that I had paid the right price. He still insisted that he was doing me a favor for even selling it at a higher rate. Insane for an owner to come over and act that way after I had alread agrees to pay 5 dollars more for each entree. Be careful if you use cash there because something is going on. Sad too because the food is real good 🤷♂️

We're out of town on business and we've been eating at various restaurants here and we wanted Mexican and out of all the choices we chose Ay Mama. And it was a great choice. The food was good, the service was good, and the atmosphere was good. We were concerned when we drove up because from the outside it looked like they were either closed or had no customers. This was due to the dark window treatment. I'm so glad we went in.
