Bartizan Events Venue was the perfect choice for my mother's 80th birthday party this weekend. The entire experience was outstanding, thanks to the venue's wonderful staff. From our very first meeting, they were professional, accommodating, and made the planning process a joy.
On the day of the event (August 9, 2025), the staff was incredibly attentive, and they went above and beyond to make the day magical for my mother. Guests were blown away by the food, and I've received countless compliments. One cousin even asked me if I thought she could get the recipe for the chicken!
The venue is conveniently located in Glen Allen with easy access to street parking and free public garages. I'm honestly a little sad the party is over because I loved working with Rachel and the team so much. I'm already looking for another excuse to host an event there. Bartizan is a definite five-star, full-service venue that I would recommend for any special occasion.

Absolutely flawless. We hosted a beautiful celebration for my father at Bartizan, and I cannot say enough about the incredible experience from start to finish. The space itself was stunning, but what truly made it special was the care and professionalism of Stephanie and the entire team.
From linens to layout, food to timeline, every detail was handled with precision, warmth, and thoughtfulness. They coordinated effortlessly with our vendors, filled in the small gaps I missed in the planning chaos, and somehow made it all look easy. Stephanie even found me at the end of the event to return items our guests had left behind—that’s the level of care we received.
The location was convenient and easy to find, and the attached parking deck was a lifesaver, especially for our older guests. The event flowed beautifully, people stayed late, and everyone had an amazing time. It was executed perfectly, with heart. If you’re looking for a venue that’s both elegant and effortless, Bartizan is it.

We had 70+ family and friends attend a PhD graduation reception/brunch at Bartizan. Stephanie did an outstanding job assisting us in the room setup, decorations and menu for the event. There were plenty of staff available for the bar and food service. Many of our guests commented on the quality of the food and the efficiency of the servers. We will definitely consider Bartizan for our upcoming events.

I held my final Board Meeting of the year at Bartizan the first week of December. I asked that the room be festive and cozy and they knocked it out of the park. The food was delicious with many of my members saying it was the best steak they had ever eaten! Although all of this was great, the best part of the event was the team and staff I worked with to plan the meeting. My Board is still talking about the meeting and how great it was and trust me, that doesn't happen often!

Bartizan was the perfect venue for our wedding! The size of the venue fit our guest count of about 100 people comfortably and the layout of the White Oak room and Event Hall was perfect for our wedding timeline. The wooden wall in the Event Hall served as a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony, and having the dedicated bar in that room was very convenient during dinner. Our meals were delicious and beautifully displayed, and it was incredibly convenient having meals, drinks, linens and dishes all provided through the venue. The White Oak room was awesome for dancing, and the mezzanine and patio attached to that room served as great spots to take breaks from dancing. Our event coordinator, Stephanie, was great to work with. She was very quick to respond to all of questions and happy to work with the ideas we had for our wedding. All of they day-of staff and servers who supported our event also did a great job, taking care of all our guest's needs. Finally, the location of the venue was very convenient for planning our other wedding events around - we managed to find a hotel, after-party location, and morning-after brunch location all within walking distance of Bartizan. Highly recommend Bartizan for a Richmond wedding!

My friends just had a wedding there. The venue was an excellent place for the wedding and reception. The food and drinks were great! But it would have been nice to have the wait staff come around with drinks throughout the reception. The staff did not make sure my friends got their cake and food after the reception was over. Guest never got the cake either. What happened?

Scheduled a very important event here with Dover Hall Experiences. They did not disappoint.
It can be very stressful coordinating the details of an event when you're not experienced. From the major details (location) to the minor details (color of napkins), everything was managed quite easily with the team.
By the time we had the event, all I needed to do was maintain party atmosphere. The overall management of food/drink service and other accommodations was managed seamlessly by the team.
The venue itself is perfect for hosting small and large parties alike. You can rent one room or two, both of which are connected. Parking is convenient for your guests, with a garage attached right next to the venue. And if your guests are from out of town, there's a hotel nearby.
If I am doing anything in RVA that involves 50+ people, this location is top of mind. Event planning has never been easier thanks to the staff and the space.
