Couple months ago I ate there and had the sausage gravy biscuits.... Worst gravy I've ever had, since there was absolutely no sausage in it..... Ate in many restaurants the 25 years I traveled in my business...All other times I've eaten there,No complaint

What a deli. From counter to patio. Constantly putting out the bangers you crave. Can't get enough. Wish they had a few more hours open. Wow.

I am a New Yorker visiting family in Richmond. I took my family to eat traditional Jewish food. It was a horror. I know many people eat there. I don’t know why. The food is not good. The lox is terrible. It’s is tough and the color is unusual. The New York lox is soft fresh and deep in color. You can see the fish in the deli case in New York. The tables could be cleaner The bagels are mediocre at best. I strongly suggest that if you want better lox but it at trader Joe or Costco. They are not that good either but far better than boychiks. The only thing good about boychiks is the name. There are no boychiks at boychiks. Oye. Horrible. Virginia people do not know what Jewish food is.

We gave up on this place. The atmosphere is chaotic and visually unpleasant with tacky local business ads utilized as "decor." Our sandwiches were put together like a child assembled them—stuff on only half the bread, wrong condiments, etc. When we pointed this out to our server, she literally just took them to the back and scraped off the onions (leaving onion flavor on the bread) and moved the meat and cheese around a little, returning them with fries that had gone cold.Yeah, it's cheap, but it's also pretty careless. It used to be one of our favorite lunch stops. It just doesn't seem like it once was, though.

This place is always busy but never a long wait. The food and servers are great. Their omelettes are amazing and very large in size. The menu is well rounded and great for all. My kids really enjoy their breakfast but their favorite is the grilled cheese and fries.
