I’m very thankful to have Brecotea in my area. When everything is super expensive and most people don’t want to dine in, this cafe is a breath of fresh air. It offers delicious food at affordable prices. There's a broad variety of unique items. There’s something for everyone: espresso shots, iced coffees, boba tea, pastries, fresh-baked bread, sandwiches, and cakes.
It makes me feel like I’m back in Osaka, Japan, going through a grocery & cafe market and seeing all the delicious options.
They have successfully created a fun hangout space. It’s clean, lively, and fun to dine in and talk with family and friends.

Absolutely OBSESSED with this place! I have never been so happy walking into a bakery + boba shop in my life! It honestly feels like a hidden gem where everyone is welcome.
Everything here is SO affordable to the point where you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. It's rare to find a spot that offers such amazing value and delivers on quality every single time. Fresh-made sandwiches, tasty sweets, and a selection of drinks and boba teas.

I love this place! Nice vibe.. Staff are nice and friendly. The drink selection is pretty decent. Haven’t found another cafe like this in Richmond so far.

2 suggestions though.. They can increase the vegetarian options for hot/bread snacks. There are only about 3 I found as of now. Also, the taste of cakes/pastries could be improved.

Busy. items finished may not gets added back. Basically if you are looking for specific items, they will not refill them and probably they want to sell their underrated item mean time. Pastries are good. Tea and coffee are avarage.

The coffee was also underwhelming—too acidic and lacking any distinctive flavor.

First time visit today at Hull St location. I bought a chocolate croissant & iced latte. The cashier asked if it was to eat in or to go & I said to go. I get to the car and realized the croissant had not been warmed so I went back in to see if they could warm it. They said they couldn’t because I had already left the store with it, which I understand. I told the cashier that she should have asked me if I wanted it warmed and she said she did, and I told her she didn’t then she argued with me that she did. I asked to speak with a manager and she said she was one of the managers. I asked another associate if I could get another croissant if I threw the other one out and she said yes. Same cashier heated croissant and then asked me if I wanted a box to put it in?!?! Of course! Did she expect me to carry it out in my hands. As I left, another associate sarcastically said, “Have a nice day”. Product is good but this store needs to address the attitude of its employees. Treat customers with respect. Side note…I had even given a tip!!!

I visit this location multiple times a week and have had a great experience each time. The pineapple passion fruit is very good and of course the bacon sticks! The staff are all professional and have provided great customer service each visit! Brecoa will always be my stop before work.

Food and boba are awesome. Service is absolutely atrocious. The staff promotes homophobia and racism. Had a customer jump line ahead of us and was waited on instead of being asked to wait his turn in line. Tried to address with management via phone without satisfactory resolution after the incident. The cashier that allowed this has done things like this before. She is rude and condescending when correcting people ordering. Disrespectful. It’s very disheartening knowing the food and drinks are so good but the staff is being allowed such latitude in being disrespectful to customers based on sexuality (we are a gay couple) and race (neither of us are Latino). I’d also not allow staff to be on heir phones in view of customers either.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure I found exactly what I was looking for. I had a few questions about their menu, and they patiently explained all the options, even offering recommendations that turned out to be perfect. The tea I ordered was absolutely amazing and the pastries we got were scrumptious. What really stood out was the personal attention and genuine care the team showed. It’s rare to find such excellent customer service these days. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Brecotea to anyone who loves great service and even better tea and pastries!

I visit this place for “Too good to go” app. Everything I tried here is good so far and I can’t stop going there. I can’t guarantee how good these baked goods will be for you since everyone is different, but staffs are friendly and it is a nice clean place for sure!
