I live a few states away, but I needed to make an order for a friend's baby shower who has family close by. This was one of the few places that had vegan and gluten free options and I'm so glad we went with Frostings! I was communicating mainly by email and then by phone when it got closer to the date.Communication and customer service was amazing! The cupcakes and baby shower cake turned out perfect! In the photos you can see I added the toppers for both but rest of the design was phenomenal! The mother-to-be did not want to cut into the cake at first, because the detail was just too pretty to cut into, but the flavors were exquisite!Totally worth the price, you get your bang for your buck here 100%. I wish I lived closer so I could buy cupcakes all the time, so I highly recommend them if you're in the area.

The cupcakes were fantastic! I tried the strawberry and the double chocolate. OMG do yourself a favor and get the double chocolate. It's so rich and moist and yummy. The chocolate frosting is to die for.

I'm sure their stuff tastes good but agree about customer service its like they don't want to help/earn your business. Went in for a quote for my son's bday and was excited to have a cupcake while I was at it. So rude and unhelpful I didn't even buy a cupcake!

Not only did Amanda make sure I never felt like I was bothering her with my questions and requests but she was committed to making sure everything looked and tasted exactly the way we wanted. And the cupcakes are DELICIOUS. Seriously. We have some leftover that we froze while we were on our honeymoon and we have to unfreeze them in small batches because we eat whatever isn't frozen immediately. If you want yummy cupcakes and a thoughtful partner, go with Frostings.

If you’re stopping in for a cupcake from their case, you’ll likely be fine. I’ve been getting custom orders for years and they’ve been good as well but recently the service and quality have diminished. First my husband said he got a rude response that they could not make our anniversary cake but I considered it a one time fluke. I called for to order my third birthday order with them and the person answering was snappy. I even asked if I should call back at a better time. After a long detailed conversation about the order it was still incorrect. Of course it was it was incorrect in the shop’s favor. The order was not ready when promised. We were asked to come back but the person said to come back at the time it was due which was the time we were there! Not only were some decorations missing despite the detailed call on the phone, the chocolate cupcakes did not keep their shape. Management or bakers must have changed. I will not be going back.
Frostings is so incredibly delicious, easy, and affordable! We spoke with Amanda for our wedding and she was so friendly and helpful! We walked through their Pinterest page of cakes and she saw our vision of what we wanted right away! Their cupcakes are already so beautifully decorated that we kept those the same and on a plus side it helps your guests know what flavor they’re getting! Did we mention they deliver for a very affordable price too?! We’ve always been huge fans and we will continue to be after our beautiful wedding cake and cupcakes! Thank you! ❤️

Favorite bakery in RVA. For the past 5 years, I have ordered vegan cupcakes for my child's birthday, who has an egg and nut allergy. Cupcakes are always moist and delicious. You could never tell that you're eating a vegan cupcake with amazing frosting. The Red Velvet and Strawberry Shortcake are scrumptious.

The cupcakes are fantastic! My husband and I have both ordered from here twice, one order being placed for specialty cupcakes. The ladies who took our order were so nice and the prices were way lower than I was anticipating. We especially enjoyed the red velvet and the cheesecake flavors.

My son and I got to the door at 5:01 and because they closed at 5 they would not let us in to purchase. The cupcakes were still in the viewing window. Not to mention she basically slammed the door in our faces. We will never go back the worst customer service ever!!

The cupcakes are great. We always come here for special occasions. However today I walked in with my daughter and we were immediately kicked out for not having masks on. I was caught off guard because I have not been into a store that required masks in many months. I understand it’s their choice, but it was handled poorly by the staff and just seems silly when even my daughters school no longer requires them. We’ll try somewhere else next time.
