As promised by the marketing director in response to my last review , the dining experience at Hondos was exceptional! Adam was a very attentive and knowledgeable server. Our table was in a quiet location and the meal was delicious! I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass special which was cooked to perfection and my fiancé ordered the filet mignon and lobster again. He said it was much better than our last visit. Thank you to Adam and the chef for elevating our dining experience. We highly recommend Hondos and will return in the future.

The food was fantastic but the service was really disappointing. Our water glasses were empty the entirety of our meal, which is tough when you’re eating steak. Also we ordered Cabernet with our dinner and it never came. The waiter kind of apologized. Then we just waited there for about 40 minutes waiting for our dishes to be cleared and for the check. Been here a hundred times and we’ll probably go to Buckheads from now on.

Honestly I was shocked at how bad this place was after I read all the positive comments! My husband and I came here for the first time for a date night after I had researched some local spots with good reviews. I ordered the French onion soup to start. It came out with no caramelization on the cheese. That’s not a huge deal but there’s a reason I’m pointing this out. Keep reading. I ordered the seafood trio. It came out with 3 bland steamed shrimp on wilted lettuce with cheese melted on them. Absolutely not a spec of char or caramelization to be found on the shrimp. Also, who puts melted cheese on shrimp? The scallops were also steamed, not seared and then dipped in a pepper blend like they had literally dipped them in a pile of black pepper, not seared on the scallops. It was so gross. The crab cake….sigh!! It was made with little filler which was nice but again, no caramelization on the outside and no taste. Where was the Old Bay? Where was the seasoning. We asked for our check so fast and instantly regretted the $200 bill we had to pay for the worst seafood plate I’ve ever eaten. Ooooh I almost forgot, my husband ordered the porterhouse. It was cooked to the right temp, kudos on that but again nooooo sear or caramelization. No seasoning. We won’t look back and won’t come back. Biggest waste of money.

Been coming here for our anniversary the past 8 years, and every year, it's always a great dining experience! This visit was no different!

This is the only restaurant that would not break down a group check, so we all had to bring cash and guess how much we wanted to spend. I got the shake and bake chicken not my favorite. So for my first time this is a no for me as far as steakhouse.

We always expect exceptional food and service at Hondos. The food was as expected, but the service was not. Our server was very inattentive. We had the 4 course meal. My wife had finished her soup before mine came out. It was to hot to eat, as if it just came out of the microwave. Then our salads were served before I was able to finish my soup. The main course was good. She didn't come back to refill drinks until we were almost done. Dessert came with the dinner but we had it boxed to take home because we were no longer enjoying our evening as we have in the past due to the service. Once home , come to find out the desserts were wrong. This is one time I regretted going to Hondos

Visited during happy hour and sat at the bar. Amazing selection of wine and appetizers, and top shelf service. Will definitely visit again.

Two friends and I had dinner there recently and it was delicious. I ordered the fried oyster appetizer and it was so yummy with a generous portion. My two friends both had the ahi tuna appetizer and they loved it. Two of us ordered the seafood combo, which wasn't much food at all. We had a crab cake, TWO scallops and TWO shrimp. That was about $90 for both orders. IMO way too expensive for what we got. Bread and honey butter was delish and filling while waiting. Wine was also a very good Chardonay. Our third person ordered the ribeye. He loved every bite! It was large enough to split from the looks of it, but he was able to eat it all. :) No dessert. Our server, Adam, was beyond professional and accommodating. The ambiance was very pleasant. Old school steakhouse vibe seems to be the theme. All in all it was great, IF you're ready to spend BIG BUCKS for even two courses and wine. I've been going there for years and it has never disappointed. They are always ready to impress. You won't be disappointed! Enjoy!
