Mona Lounge and Cigar Bar

sad I love coming here even on the busiest nights and the shorter gentlemen bartender always goes out his way and instantly recognizes and seats me every time and makes sure I have a seat I tip well I spend well because I like coming alone I come in the day time and at night and when I’m with others they are prominent business owners like myself and it’s nice so why on a Thursday night when it’s mostly empty …surprise the my normal bartender that seems to run the bar is gone and the service is trash from the ladies smh

At Mona’s’s lounge tonight and it’s ladies night but DjJ is playing songs for the fellas place is full of ladies and he’s playing rap and not even playing the song through when a good song do come on I’m literally playing candy crush on my phone right now every one is literally just in there seat just chatting away ignoring the noise of wha dj is playing. However the service is a 10 and the place is a 10 and the food is 8… will keep you guys posted maybe it’s just a bad dj night

It was a nice experience on Friday . Thanks for the staff and the managment.we will be there again next week for sure

I checked Mona’s out on 6/13/25. First of all, the female restroom door doesn’t lock and I waited around 15mins for at the bar while around 5 employees were conversing at the other end of the bar no one ever approached me to take my order. I just left.

Great atmosphere 👍 but the wings I ordered were gross. Mushy, soft breaded.. 👎

I went last weekend took over a hour just to get a drink

After finally being seated and waiting over an hour to get a hookah is insane. This is after speaking to several employees just trying to find out who I need to speak with to order the hookah. I was told my hookah order was in after 45min and 30min later still never received it. Customer service is nonexistent.

Very unprofessional and rude

Last night was my first time visiting this lounge and it was the perfect vibe. The DJ was on point with the music. I sat at the bar and ordered food. The Maryland crab cake and Salmon Caesar salad had lots of flavor. My food was cooked to perfection!!! When I’m town this will be my go to.

Had a wonderful annual get-together with friends.

We celebrated my brother-from-another-mother's birthday here this past weekend and we had such a good time! We were able to make reservations for $5 per person. Totally worth it to ensure a table because this place gets packed. I dont know much about cigars but they had a really nice selection. The place is huge, the bar is well stocked, the drinks are strong, the customer service was excellent, the food was good, and the place is very well ventilated.

We were only slated to go Friday, but we had such a good time that we went back Saturday as well! Friday, they had Mike on the piano. This man has an amazing voice and was singing allllllll the oldies but goodies and hit EVERY note with perfection! He had the whole place JAMMING! After he finished his set, their DJ was up next and we continued to party until about 1:30. A.M. before heading home!

Mike, the general manager, was really cool and went above and beyond for our group! I can't thank him enough! The two gentlemen at the door (hosts/bouncers) were on their A-game each night making sure all ran smoothly! The waitresses/ bartenders kept everyone happy and glided through the establishment with such ease and professionalism, dropping off food, drinks, and pleasant banter each time!

All and all, it was a really enjoyable experience and we will definitely be heading back next time we are in Richmond!

The bartender guy Was very unprofessional after Waiting Thirty five minutes for him to take our drink order he Proceeded to take another customer's order.Who was standing beside us for only five mit was rude very disrespectful and yes I threw the water you can't go from one Minority to the next it's first come first serve...for that I will no longer spend my money there and I will be sure to tell all my associates and associations

What a horrible management team they have. I went to celebrate a birthday and not only were they understaffed, causing us to wait more than a hour for drinks ordered and food. We were forced to walk to the bar, to get service which also took over a quarter of time to be attended to. The wait staff was professional but limited and unable to provide a personalized experience. To add to the horrible service, the bus guy who also happened to be the poor guy to handle good runs and hookah. Attempted to clean my 2 hour overdue table and piled multiple drinks on a plate, to unfortunately drop and crack them all over me. I mean shoulders, legs and toes. Glass shattered everywhere and all he could do was stop, gasp and immediately disappear. Glass was everywhere and still no server in sight. I requested a manager and that took an additional 30 mins or so followed by the night ending. The manager came over and immediately lead with what are you looking for, 2 glasses broke it is busy what do you expect.

What a horrible experience. I mean literally numerous glasses fell and literally brok on me along with the contents and I could not at least get an apology for the inconvenience or an are you ok??
The glass sat there along with the cracked pieces on me, my exposed legs and feet and nothing!!

This place use to be a classier environment that cared about its patrons. Unfortunately, it currently lost that. I even went to address the manager afterwards to share that this was disappointing and the dangers and he blew me off in front of staff and continued to ask what was I wanting because he was busy. I shared an apology for the inconvenience and a check on my well being was the least and it was blown off. It was horrible even the poor staff was embarrassed.

Such a bad experience. I genuinely hope this get addressed because this once was a nice place that cared about its patrons and held a level of professionalism. (See the pics along with my chair)

Shame on the Management, especially Dash who was the manager! He not only poorly represented the business , but he also created an environment that customers are not valued or safe!
