Peter Chang is hands down the worst Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to—no contest. 1. First of all, the service attitude is unbelievably rude. When I mentioned that four dishes costing nearly $100 was outrageously expensive, the cashier—who was very obviously the owner—snapped back, “If this is expensive to you, then go eat somewhere else.” 2. Second, the portions are a complete joke. The twice-cooked pork was basically all scallions with almost no meat, and the wontons came with only four pieces. How is anyone supposed to get full? As for the taste, it’s nothing but heavy seasoning with no real depth—just artificial, overpowered flavors. This place is an absolute insult to authentic Chinese cuisine. A total garbage restaurant.

Nice place to eat but the food has become inconsistent compared to what it used to be. Some of the changes that have been made are not good. The spicy dishes are no longer spicy and lack flavor. I'm not sure what has happened but the owner needs to go back to providing it's customers with what the described dish on the menu says it is. If it says spicy on the menu then the dish that is served to you should be what you ordered. Other than that, a great place to eat once they go back to providing what you ordered.

I was skeptical of the many negative reviews about the service, but after dining there yesterday, I can confirm they’re accurate. The food was delicious, but the service was EXTREMELY POOR. We were seated and waited over 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. In other very busy restaurants, staff usually at least let you know there’s a delay, but that didn’t happen here. When we finally asked an employee, a waiter came over. He never apologized, there was no warmth in his tone or behavior and he simply said that a 15–20 minute wait is “normal.” I don't want to make this racial, but towards the end of our visit, a waiter attended to a family seated next to us within 5 minutes, which was frustrating to see. On a positive note, the food was delicious and arrived quickly once we ordered. Still, due to the service issues and the lack of real corrective action from management—just repeated apologies—we won’t be returning.

Found this place while visiting Richmond. The photos looked great and we were craving Chinese, so we ordered takeout (Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken & Broccoli). Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The total came to $36, which is quite expensive for the small portions we received. To make matters worse, the quality just wasn't there. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Customer service is awfully pathetic. Looks like the servers lack basic training to deal with customers. The whole experience left us with a bad taste, definitely never planning to return ever again.
Food was great and came out quick but the server brought out a dish we didn’t order and when we told him he slammed it on the table and started yelling and saying “I don’t care,take it and your gonna pay for it”

At first I didn’t think this place was going to be great, but I was completely wrong! The food was really good. I got the sesame chicken with fried rice (although I originally wanted lo mein but they said I couldn’t get it with the chicken). My boyfriend got kung pao chicken and it was spicy but also very very good! I would definitely come again.

The food was horrible!!!! I got take out just now and I spent 30 dollars for shrimp and broccoli!!! The shrimp looked old...the gravey was like muddy water!!! The food had no taste!!! I could have cried!!!The spring rolls were mushy!!!NEVER AGAIN!!!! The service was just as horrible as the food!!! No eye contact! No smile!!!! TERRIBLE PLACE! I THREW 30 DOLLARS AWAY THIS EVENING!!! IM SO MAD AND DISAPPOINTED FOR EVEN GIVING THEM A TRY!!! I should have ate a bowl of cereal that would have been better! If you would like to redeem yourselves let me know, and i will bring in the ID to match the name. I was honestly and truly upset!
