Went to pick up tharo cake , lady on reception was very disrespectful loud and rude. Very bad customer service and palce is very tight filthy and full of smell
I love Banh mi. To me it should just be called east meets west.
It’s the best of both worlds. The crunchy beautiful French baguette the fresh ingredients diakon and carrots and the crunch and the sweetness. The pork belly add the meaty taste and much needed fat for this dish. The best part is the coriander leaves that add the smell of Asia to that crunch and airiness off the baguette.
What made Pho Saigon a little different. Firstly the addition of a few slices of Jalapeño. Barely any heat but enough to tickle your fancy. But the kicker is the cup of pho broth. You can dip it or eat it like a soup. You don’t see that everywhere and boy should you.
Lastly, the Thai tea is from a packet and mixed with condensed milk. You would think that it wouldn’t be good. But it’s not, it’s so delicious and the perfect accompaniment to the banh mi.
Ah this meal took me to a happy place and the service was awesome. Great job, great meal, thanks, done!
Best Bahn Mi in Richmond metro. I’ve been here for the great pho but tried the pork belly bahn mi for the first time and was blown away. Comes with a side of Pho broth for dipping. Also recommend adding a fried egg. 100%
Good, well prepared ethnic food. Not to busy - late afternoon on a weekday.
This used to be my favorite pho restaurant around but in the past year the food has gotten worse. The noodles are less yummy and the pho broth just tastes not even like pho, it just tastes like normal store bought beef broth. The appetizers are still delicious (especially the fried coconut shrimp or the pork belly lettuce wrap) but a little expensive and considering the quality of the entree (pho) just not really that worth it, in my opinion. I've been here at least 6 times in 2 years and the last two visits have made it so I never will choose to eat here again over other Vietnamese food places nearby. Service was also lackluster. I will say the quality of meat was good at least though. The spring rolls and peanut sauce are also good.
I picked up some pho and cha gio to go and I was pleasantly surprised at how southern Vietnamese the broth was! It reminded me of how my grandma made it, which leaned sweeter. The portions weren’t a lot but also not too little. It’s not a go-to place compared to other locations but it makes do when you’re working nearby. I wish it had a lunch special because I would drop by more often! My friend really likes that there is an ox tail pho, although you only get one piece.
Edit: upped it to 5* since their in-person service is great!
Very friendly place and food is good.
This hidden gem is really is the best Pho in RVA! I didn’t rate the service because that’s really up to you and your party. For me 5⭐️ because they understood my needs as a solo diner and didn’t overwhelm me with attentiveness. I even ordered a bunch of food Togo. Definitely suggest you eat here!!
Best Pho in RVA

Bro I cannot recommend this place enough. The food was TOP TIER. The staff are SO NICE and always made sure my water was full. The music was great. Highly recommend. My tastebuds were tantalized fr.
Their food and service is always a 5/5. You can literally order anything on the menu and get ît in 10 mins.
Bonus- if you get the grandpa as your waiter get ready lol
Went here for years and then just last week they forgot to put the nonfat meat that I like in my pho soup and for some reason the portion was significantly smaller than I had previously gotten. I called them and asked why the meat was missing and they said maybe I don't see it because I got the combination beef. The problem is, I share this with my wife and that is the only part I like so I definitely know when its missing. I also asked them why the portion was smaller and they said the portions haven't changed at all. Needless to say I will be finding a new Pho place that is competent enough to make me some soup...
The food was awful. The seafood pho the very small portion was rancid smelling. Got 2 shrimp, 1 scallop, 2 very small pieces of artificial crab. The broth for pho was full of pepper. The fried spring rolls was freezer burn and soggy on inside. Will not return.
We had a fantastic dinner at Pho Saigon last night! We tried the Vietnamese crepe and pork belly wrap for the first time — both were absolutely delicious, especially the crepe, which was huge and perfect for sharing. We also had pho and vermicelli salads with grilled pork, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. We’ll definitely be coming back for more! Highly recommend!
