A Local Bakery Gem! I recently had the pleasure of trying the sugar cookies from a River City Sweets, and I must say, they are nothing short of amazing. Not only are they incredibly delicious, but they are also surprisingly affordable, making them a true gem in the world of sweet treats. Each bite was a little piece of heaven. After the bakery I normally go to unfortunately closed due to Covid, I searched for a replacement and found River City Sweets. I took a chance and ordered a sushi cake, hoping the cake tasted as good as the one I used to get from the other bakery. Boy am I glad I did! For one, Heather was so responsive and easy to work with, second, she nailed it with the design (which looked amazing) and third and just as important, the chocolate cake was absolutely delicious and moist! The other reviews were precise and I want folks to know that this is a great bakery and I am very happy I found her! She decorated the cake with lots of details, down to the ribbon around the board the cake is on. I'll definitely order future cakes and other baked goods from here and you should to!! :)

Heather was phenomenal! Inclement weather caused alot of problems with plans but she was very accommodating. The cookies were super cute!!!! and omg so tasty! we will definitely be a repeat customer! nothing like great customer service!

I was extremely happy with the cake, the communication with Heather, and the timeline, as I was requesting the cake only a week in advance. River City is absolutely fantastic! I am not very experienced with cakes but Heather was able to recommend and design the perfect cake for my wife and I's anniversary. Not only was it beautiful but it was delicious as well. I would highly recommend River City to anyone seeking baked goods and I will be sure to use them in the future!

Heather is easily one of my favorite bakers in all of the land, but especially Richmond. She is super easy to work with and is always ready to share ideas and work with difficult timelines. Not to mention the creations and dessert she makes are some of my favorite I have had my whole life. My family always wants a River City Sweets birthday whoopie pies, cake or cookies. There is a dessert for everyone, and I believe River City Sweets is the place to find that dessert.
