Sumo Sushi Express

Amazing delicious sushi, soup, and salad. We stopped in on a whim and it was the best food we’ve had in a while. The kids and adults both had what they wanted, and the portions were just the right size.

This place featured some of the smallest sushi I’ve seen in a long time. The role was the size of a soda bottle cap. And that was the bigger cuts. Nothing was particularly good, just basic normal sushi you find anywhere else. And the lunch special that runs to 3 o’clock according to the sign posted, apparently ends at 2:30 when I arrived. I thought this was better long ago, but apparently cost cutting and whatever else has set in. $35 for two itty-bitty rolls and a soda was extreme for what I got. Time to go somewhere else.

Randomly stumbled upon this gem and can’t stop thinking about their salmon roll. It was absolutely delicious and came out quick, not even ten minutes. I didn’t check reviews before ordering and you know it’s good when I looked them up after my first or second bite. I had to see if anyone else experienced what I had. I couldn’t explain it until I read someone say it — “fresh” is exactly the word to describe why it was so delish!

Excellent quality sushi at a decent price. Family owned with great service. Do not sleep on this place!

A no frills gem. All they do is Sushi and they do it well. Loved the volcano roll and the rainbow roll we got. Services was quick and they have some small low tech tables for dine in after you order from the counter.

Great sushi!! Only missing the last star because of the wait but it’s all hand made at the time or order so it should be expected. I will definitely be back!
