Let me start by saying I’m a very positive person. I will hype up almost anything. But after last night’s visit… let’s just say my optimism clocked out early.
I ordered the Las Vegas roll, California roll, hibachi steak, monster roll, and some dumplings. Out of everything, the California roll somehow ended up being the star of the show and even that felt like it was performing at half power. The first few pieces were fine, but by the time I was halfway through, I was questioning why I committed to finishing it.
Now, the hibachi steak… I’m convinced someone in the kitchen accidentally knocked over an entire container of garlic and said, “Eh, close enough.” They also didn’t ask how I wanted it cooked, which, in hindsight, may have been them doing both of us a favor.
As for the other two rolls, they were aggressively mediocre. I tapped out after a few bites of each because at that point I felt like I was just fighting for my life. No need to waste food or emotional energy.
And unfortunately, the service didn’t exactly elevate the experience. Our server had pretty much zero personality, barely interacted with us, and repeatedly forgot to bring things out. That definitely didn’t help the situation.
This is just my experience, and I’ll probably give the place another shot someday because I’m stubbornly optimistic. But for now, if you want better sushi, just go to Sushi Massa your taste buds will thank you.
On the bright side, the environment was genuinely nice. That, combined with my natural desire to be fair, is the only reason this place is getting a generous 2 stars.

The servers have zero personality. Which is fine until they just set your food down and walk away without acknowledging what they've given you. The tuna tastes like it was out of a can. The Gyoza tastes like frozen food lion potstickers. There are no vegetables (like avocado or cucumber) in any of the rolls unless it is specified in the name. So most of them are just fish and rice in a roll. The miso soup tastes like lemon for some reason. The udon noodles were gross and the chicken in it was slimey.
Would never go back.

Literally cannot stand places that charge 3 dollars for soda water.
A fun and affordable way to do sushi! Great selection of classic rolls, as well as well-crafted signature rolls. Service is great, and even when they’re busy your order doesn’t take long to come out.

Pretty cool concept you pay a flat rate for lunch or dinner per person, the potion sizes are small but it is all you can eat so order more. Cool date night spot

I left a review a year ago when it first opened but I will not support this restaurant. I got interviewed here for a job position three times and they message me on indeed for the fourth time I came in and the host gave me a paper application to fill out once I was done I gave it back to him and I could hear the other female staff that had blonde hair shouting my last phone number out and making fun of it like they knew they were just wasting my time. made me feel so self conscious. Never again this used to be a good hang out spot now I'm telling all my friends to not come.
This is my favorite all you can eat sushi place in Richmond. I love all of their Appetizers and their hibachi steak. The steak is so tender!! The sushi rolls are also pretty good.

Food was severely MID. The best thing on the menu was the crab rangoons and the clear soup tasted like a boot. The staff barely smiled. there was a gnat infestation in the place. Sushi MASA is way better. I will not be returning.

I'm very skeptical of AYCE sushi outside of Las Vegas. However, this place was pretty decent. At least they have a kitchen menu along with the sushi. The fish selection for the nigiri was pretty decent. The portions from the kitchen menu are actually pretty good to make sure there is no waste. Definitely made a good decision stopping here after a day of diving as I was starving. AYCE menu really hit the spot.

I’ve been here several times and have never been disappointed. Everything is delicious, the service is excellent, and there’s a wondrous variety of food to choose from. The building’s design and decor are beautiful, making the experience even more enjoyable.

HOLY FRUIT FLIES!!! Goodness they’re everywhere and will smack you in the mouth while you are eating. The sushi was actually really good and tasted fresh, but the hibachi was the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. I ordered the hibachi chicken and it was soggy and breaded?????? So weird.
The sushi is decent but the fly infestation has led me to never return. It’s too much.
