Glad we stopped at this gem near Charlottesville, VA. Outstanding family/veteran-owned distillery. The owner, US Army COL Chuck Reinhold, welcomed us in and told us the unique story behind his Bourbon. Definitely worth dropping in for a relaxing experience. Try the Blind Preacher alone or in one of the outstanding cocktails. We did both, and were not disappointed! Grabbed some bottles for Father's day... One for me, one for dad!
This was worth the drive from Fairfax. Beautiful countryside scenery lead us to this jewel. Both batches were delicious (very smooth) and the options of drinks they make with them were delicious!!! Christen made me a Manhattan and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had.
My only wish is that the Blind Preacher brand was available near me in IL. Wonderful family run business, kind, welcoming, and full of knowledge about the local history of the area, and especially Bourbon....

While the bourbon selection is limited to just two, the cocktail menu more than makes up for it with creative and well-crafted options. I loved the MacGregor Old Fashioned—perfectly balanced - in the top 5 of old fashioneds I've had!
Huge bar area, couches and a stunning fireplace, and tables. Outdoor seating as well.
