Photo is of the medium blue catfish basket which came with fries, 2 hush puppies and a drink for $12.99. Great value and tasty food! Also tried my friends fish, which was different and equally tasty! Super fresh and served hot.

I am giving the food 3 stars instead of 5 because the sauces and sides are alright, but the seafood is lacking seasoning and flavor without the sauces. For the price of the food I expected it to have better flavor. I am sad this place wasn’t as good as the reviews led me to believe.

On Aug. 21, 2024 tried to do a take-out order. the person I spoke to was very rude because I asked another question fish and chips. Also, because I didn't know she had to look up the info on another computer. She hung up on me. I called back to speak to the manager and was about to tell him what happen and he hung up on me too. Not very good customer service. Food is good but I will not be recommending anyone to this restaurant- Bubba shrimp shack, Grafton, VA

Not as Good as They used to be! If U get Bubba's Clam Chowder, make sure to ask for them to do a "deep or bottom" scoop, because if not, U may endup with 2-4 clams!!

Previously, I had only eaten at the Gloucester, VA location, so I was hopeful that the quality of service at the Grafton location would be the same. I was not disappointed. The staff were all so friendly, delivering our food to our table and checking to see if we needed anything else. The shrimp was excellent as usual. I always get the shrimp basket, which contains fried shrimp, fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. I always sub extra hushpuppies for the slaw since I don't eat coleslaw, but I've heard the slaw is good as well. It is super easy to overcook shrimp, especially when frying them, but Bubba's does it right every single time. The breading is light but crispy, and they always come out hot and fresh out the fryer. You get a very generous portion as well as the shrimp are large and they are properly cleaned as well, which I appreciate. For the portion of food you get, $15 is more than reasonable to me. It's fresh seafood and you're supporting a local business. I highly recommend them!
