Food was excellent as always. Our server was very slow even when we were finished and the restaurant was pretty empty it took forever to bring our bill, pick up the credit cards, and return with the receipts for signature. Our server may have had tables in the bar but did not appear to be serving anyone else in the main dining area

Another good dinner at BRX. It was a little noisy as there was a private party but service and food quality was still top notch. The night's specials were fantastic - I hope some of them will make them onto the regular menu!

Only recommendation would be to add some tea lights to the bar tables for lighting/ambiance. We were in town on a layover at Dulles and the reviews are accurate- a great local gem!

Our first time at the restaurant, and we will definitely be back! Food was delicious. We had the avocado bruschetta, pot stickers, and Sesame Sashimi Tuna as appetizers. All were excellent, but my favorite was the bruschetta with the layers of flavor. For entrees, we tried the Chicken Plicata, Short Rib Ravioli, Ribs, and Cavatappi Louisiana. Everything was tasty, and we all agreed the ravioli was unique and a definite on the go-to list. Love that this is locally owned and has a nice bourbon and wine selection, also!!

Of all the restaurants that we have been to the food here was phenomenal. Everybody was bursting with decadent flavor. We were very surprised. From the appetizers to the dessert everything was superb.

The food here is consistently good. Their bread is terrific and the cocktails are generous and delicious. The chef keeps the menu varied and appealing and the wine list has a nice selection. Our fish and seafood tasted fresh and flavorful. Our waiter was polite, if a little difficult to hear. My big complaint is when the server reaches across the person sitting next to you to place your plate - it is especially awkward when you are trying to have a conversation and suddenly there is an arm between you and the person you were speaking to. This happened with the food, then the wine and then the person refilling the water glasses and there was NO ONE at the table behind us. Not sure why wait staff are not trained to serve the diners from behind when at all possible.

Food is wonderful! I recommend the Lamb Chops or the butternut squash ravioli. Have never had a bad meal here.

Excellent dinner with great friends and impeccable service by Isaiah. We went early so there were very few people but it's a quaint warm atmosphere and very clean place.. Enjoyed some tasty appetizers and an amazing salad ( should have had a bit more avocados and mushrooms) thus the 4 rather than 5 statrs.

Don’t order delivery from them! They only provided 2/3 of the fries trio, and didn’t include any of the dipping sauces. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience.

Second time dining at BRX and think I'd like to become a regular! The food is uniformly excellent with the specials even better. The wine list has interesting options, the staff is friendly and prices are quite reasonable. What more can you ask for?

I'm very suspect about these reviews. My first impressions, they arent that welcoming or friendly. Food took a very long time and their prices relative to quality arent justified. A member from our party ordered a dish that came with pasta. Ive never been served pasta that was uncooked (literally, see picture, rest was so tough) and undercooked. My scallops were overcooked and our fish was overcooked as well. Overall not impressed and a bit dissapointed.

Excellent food and ambiance, hospitality. The pasta dish is great, as are fish and others, just about everything has been consistently good.

Enjoyed a great evening at BRX American Bistro as a new location for a regular get-together with friends. We reserved a table in the (noisy) bar area, and when we arrived there was no one to seat us, so we sat at a table with a "reserved" sign on it. Turns out that we were at the wrong reserved table so we were asked to move to the correct "reserved" table. Once permanently seated, we ordered and received our drinks, and then ordered off the menu that featured something for everyone. I ordered the seafood paella, and my wife ordered the beef bourguignon. We were both impressed at the flavors of our meals ... my paella featured jumbo shrimp, scallops, chorizo, salmon, mussels, clams, tomatoes and peas over (not enough) saffron rice cooked in lobster broth. I wish I had ordered bread to sop up the escaped sauce ... wow, that was delicious! The beef bourguignon was cooked to perfection -- very slowly, to allow the beef to tenderize and absorb the flavors of the accompanying vegetables. We finished the meal by sharing flourless chocolate cake, which, again, was perfect. We would go back to BRX again in a heartbeat ... I will continue to dream of that seafood paella. WOW.
