Get take out here quite a bit. Consistently high quality sushi and tempura, one of the best in the entire DMV region. ReasonBly priced, too.

This is THE Worst Restaurant in GF. Absolutely dry and tasteless. Had Japanese teriyaki beef and pork ramen. Wow what a waste of taste and money. Had to throw it ALL away.

Izumi is great. The sushi is fresh and they have a huge menu including Chinese food options. We order it online and it delivers really well.

We love the Chinese food, and am so glad they had extended menu to include great tasting Chinese food.

I asked for a combination of fried rice and only brought 2 shrimp, lots of eggs and a few pieces of chicken, nothing else was pure rice, practically fatl fatla fatl.

Came in to place a lunch order at 2:42pm and the guy did not want to take my order because they close at 2:45 for lunch. I will not be coming back due to bad customer service. The fish is all smelly sometimes and raises caution regarding how fresh it is.

All the food is amazing here!

I’ve eaten at Izumi many times; the sushi is reliably good … 4 stars for the sushi. Unfortunately the Chinese is reliably awful. We’ve tried it several times and it’s just not worth risking again … I wish it wasn’t so, but zero stars for the Chinese.

Food has improved over the years and service staff usually hustle pretty hard to keep up. Recommend!

Came in to an empty restaurant about 45 minutes before closing. Staff was mostly packed up, restaurant empty. Ordered sake, gyoza, a roll and a few pieces from the sushi menu... it was barely OK. Regular menu was sticky. Table was super sticky. Floors were dirty. No staff cracked a smile, made eye contact, thanked me... nothing. Not sure what has happened but I won't be back. This place is on its way out, and if it isn't... customers are wasting their money. Give Ariake a try in Reston and marvel at the gaping difference.

Ordered twice cooked pork. It was sweet and not what is traditionally twice cooked pork. The pork was small bits and the rest was white cabbage. Not spicy as indicated on the website

June 2024: Yummy sushi in not too crowded Great Falls, VA. The tempura dinner came with miso soup and rice. Rate that platter an 8/10. Ordered 4 rolls, the spicy tuna roll being the best. Overall also 8/10. Nice dining room and pretty good service. See pics.

i remembered this restaurant being one of the best in the area a few years ago, but i will not be back after this dinner. the waitress showed up at our table before we had even looked at the menu, and service was slow for the rest of the night despite being mostly empty. the hand rolls we got were delicious, but one had a black chunk of plastic in it. the yakisoba i ordered tasted like unseasoned instant noodles. i can't understate how bland and off putting they were. we ended up exchanging the noodles for two of the same rolls to go because we were hungry and in comparison they tasted pretty good. surely there wouldn't be another piece of plastic in there, right? wrong! a few bites in i found a similar chunk. one of the worst meals i've eaten in a long time.
