A hidden gem! We had a lovely time at Pollak this past week. We loved their reds and the quiet setting. The staff who helped us were also very helpful. We’ll definitely visit again when we visit Charlottesville.
Excellent selection of award-winning wines. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating on the veranda or at picnic tables with good sunshades and a beautiful view of the vineyard, lake and hills. Kid-friendly! Our daughter enjoyed a mountain of delicious crusty French bread and herbed olive oil for dipping with her soda. Plenty left to take home with our two purchased bottles.
Their wines are very good,but customer relations needs work. Earlier while visiting Va we bought couple bottles of their wine. Upon returning hone I opened bottle of Petit Verdot. Cork just fell apart had to pour wine thru strainer. I emailed them several times over a week ago,still no answer. We will probably stop going there. There are several wineries w/good tasting wine in area. Used to live in Va looked forward to their winery. Maybe that will end.
