We celebrated my birthday here recently and had the best experience! I’ve always loved this home and am ecstatic that it’s now a venue available for rent. I cannot recommend it enough! The owners were wonderful to deal with and made the party reservations seamless and stress-free.

Took bride for birthday to the new location. The atmosphere was nice, that is about the extent. The wait staff had to be encouraged to do function. I had to change reservations twice, perhaps that was the reason. Bride's dish was very good, nine was not what I expect for a ribeye, The check was more than our last trip to the Aberdeen Barn in Durham, NC. Should have ordered prime rib given the last several times have ordered. Nope, no longer on the menu. Did I say it was my bride's birthday? No acknowledgement.

We had a 7:30 reservation tonight, but when we arrived people were waiting and the hostess curtly informed us it would be at LEAST half an hour before we would be seated. She said they were short-staffed because someone had gone home sick; this was the same excuse for the wait given Thursday night when my relative visited the restaurant. We noticed several open tables, however, and the crowd of people waiting in the lobby could have easily been accommodated. We may have been more receptive to the situation had the hostess not been so rude, and it would behoove her to remember that regardless of their circumstances, whether real or fabricated, were certainly not our fault. At the very least an apologetic tone would have been appreciated.

it was our first visit, definitely wont be our last , everything was perfect. The steaks , crab cakes, catfish were cooked to perfection. We had reservations at 7:30 and was seated at 7:30. The staff were pleasant, and attentive despite being a full house. Thank you for a wonderful Valentine's experience.
