Found this little gem completely by accident while out driving around. We had a dozen oysters and fried grouper sandwich. Both were delicious. Staff was very friendly. We will definitely come back when its warmer and we can enjoy eating outside.

I lived in Baltimore for 34 yrs before moving to NOVA. I was desperately missing my MD crabs & old bay until I discovered Lowry's Crab Shack. Everything we've tried from their menu has been delicious, especially their fried chicken (just as good as is on the Eastern shore!). We highly recommend!

I drive past here all the time finally stopped in. Wow snow crab legs had a ton of meat. Decently priced. Order in tent area and pay first then go to the left to sit inside. Flounder fish was good too. Wish my salad came out before the food. But everything was tasty . Definitely recommend this gem.

The hike out to Hamilton is worth it! OMG I love this place. Hushpuppy Heaven. No photos 'cuz we were too busy pickin'.

Quiet little seafood joint outside of the major towns. You order in the tent area by the parking lot and can come around the building to dine inside when it’s cold.
Only a few other diners around 6-7pm on a Thursday.

Started with some coconut shrimp. Came out real hot be careful. Solid shrimp with orange marmalade dip.

Crab legs were well cooked. Green beans had great slow cooked flavor with the ham.
I liked the hushpuppies, not too dry.
Crab cake is great despite small size. Keep that in mind if ordering. The onion rings were the surprise standout. You bite into these and the onion doesn’t fall out or anything. Fantastic!

I was hungry, ordered the crab cake sandwich and I was very disappointed. There was very little meat; and the coleslaw was not good. Overpriced for what I got.

We were guided by the good reviews and were shocked at the quality of the food. We ordered crab cake sandwiches and got fried crab. Thought we would make the best of it, but these were the worst fried crabs we’ve ever had. No meat at all, basically batter, tartar sauce, and a bun. Sides also bad. Left hungry. People were friendly.

WOW! What a hidden gem! My family thoroughly enjoyed the Seafood (crabs, shrimp), I thought the fried chicken was absolutely amazing (crunchyoutside, juicy inside)! There's a little bit of indoor seating and a larger outdoor seating area but you can also get food to-go. Very cute spot, made me feel like I was in a little beach dive right next to the ocean!

Lowry's is a neat little roadside crab shack, and our meals were delicious with good portions. During certain days and hours, you order inside, and they bring your food to your table. They had a few varieties of fish, cooked how you want it. The fried cod was inexpensive and good. With 2 Hush Puppies and 2 sides, I think it was $13 or so. 1/2 lbs. of scallops with Hush Puppies and 2 sides was about $24. The scallops and all the sides were very good. The outside seating is really neat in good weather, and there's an outside sink to wash your hands and face, if needed. We didn't check out the inside seating. This was our first time there, and we'll be returning when we're in the mood for good seafood at an informal restaurant.

I heard this place had the best fried chicken around and immediately drove to check it out. I was not disappointed. Perfectly seasoned, super crispy skin, moist but not greasy. Also tried the fried shrimp. Either by itself would have made the 20 minute drive a success.

The fried chicken is the secret best thing on the menu. Yeah, I know it's a seafood place.

Fist time picking up blue crab from Lowrys and we will be back! Male Mediums were $35/dozen ** of course subject to change, for such an awesome price I ordered 2 dozen. The owner had them seasoned well and ready to go with drawn butter by the time I arrived. We did this order to go but did see tables out front and perhaps thru the gate in the back for dining in. If you love crabs as much as I do then you know they are hard to find in this area. Consider Lowrys! They were delicious & you're supporting this small local business!!

I grew up going to “ fish camps” in NC so I was thrilled to be introduced to Lowry’s when I visited family here and then moved here last year. I feel like I am stepping back in time with the unique atmosphere at the restaurant and the delicious food.

They also offer an amazing variety of choices on the menu. Their potato salad and broccoli salad are like your mother’s.

Your stress level will lower as you drive down the country road into Hamilton and pull into a restaurant worth coming back to again and again.

Thank you to the Lowry’s for their vision and many years of service to Loudoun County.
