My boyfriend and I stopped here in the late afternoon on our way home. This place is a gem. It's popular for a reason, everything was great! We're going back for his birthday next month. Also, our dogs loved the outdoor space... They napped throughout the entire meal!

So disappointed. The people were very nice but the food was not good. The salad was wilted and not fresh, our steamed crabs were reheated. Since we are from Baltimore we know good seafood. I had very high hopes but I'm afraid this one did not make the cut.
This was my first visit to Lowry's Crab Shack, but it definitely will not be my last. The people were very friendly and patient, and the food was excellent. When you walk in, you are greeted by signs proclaiming that they've been voted the best fried chicken in the county. I normally react to such claims with skepticism (Sure, but voted by who?), but in this case, I'm convinced that the claim is certainly reasonable. It was the best fried chicken that I think I have ever had (the onion rings are really good, too). If you don't try it for yourself, then you are missing out on a real treat. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic country crab shack. My cousin and I stopped in after checking out a few vineyards in the area. I had a craving for crab cakes and found this place on Google. Thank you Google! Everything was perfect and delicious! Staff is very friendly! Wonderful meal! We ate inside in the AC, which was very much appreciated today.
They also have plentiful outside seating with shade and fans. We had no problem parking in their lot or getting a table immediately. (We got there just after 5:30pm, but it’s a -holiday- Wednesday.)
I ordered the (fried) crab cake platter with cole slaw and onion rings, and my cousin ordered the crab balls with mac n cheese and shoe string fries. Both platters came with two hush puppies. I lived in Maryland for years but have lived in California for over a decade now and missed a good crab cake platter. I needed it. This definitely hit the spot!
Both platters were market price, which today (6/19/24) was $21.99 for the crab cake and $23.99 for the crab balls. The crab cake was bigger/more and a better price - better deal.
Highly recommend this place if you are in the area!
