This winery was very strange. They had signs stating that dogs are allowed on a leash, but then we were scolded for bringing a dog.
We did not even make it through the door before someone rushed over and said, “You cannot come in unless that dog is a service animal.” There was not even a “Hello, welcome. I am just wondering if your dog is a service animal.”
Then every employee approached us separately to say that dogs are not allowed, but that they would make an exception because they were not busy (we were the only people there). She is also a service dog.
We were hungry, but they had no food. As we were closing out, we said that we would come back to sit by a fire pit, and the owner, with an attitude, said, “We do not do fire pits on Mondays.”
It was surprising that, as the only customers, they did not seem interested in making us feel welcome.
The staff did not feel warm or inviting. The only positive part of the visit was the woman who gave us the tasting. I would not recommend coming here if you want a warm and friendly atmosphere. Even without the dog situation, it felt like we were an inconvenience in their space.
Fantastic wines and atmosphere! Also an amazing and very personal tasting experience! We loved our time here and will definitely be coming back!
A delightful vineyard in a magical setting - complimented by knowledgeable staff and an impressive array of wines… My wife and I visited with a group and had a wonderful time! PJ and her husband John have created a place which must be visited to appreciate the beauty they have created in the rolling hills of the Three Creek Winery! Their whites, rose, and reds are indeed unique and delicious!
Beautiful winery, and have yet to try a wine I don’t like. Appreciate that you can bring your own food and do a picnic here as well. The staff is so nice and welcoming and are excellent tasting guides!
Favorite wines in the area!
Three Creeks Winery in Virginia is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the host greeted us with such warmth and hospitality that it instantly felt like a home away from home. The owner took the experience to another level by sharing fresh grapes straight from the vine and giving us a fascinating rundown of the harvest process—truly a highlight! The wines were exceptional, bursting with flavor and showcasing the care put into every bottle. Sipping them at the charming tables by the creek was pure bliss, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon with friends and family. I can’t recommend this winery enough for its welcoming vibe, delicious wines, and serene atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
Very nice winery with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Its not too big and crowded and its not too small that they produce too few options. Also a bonus that it is an over 21 establishment which adds to the quiet and serenity. Great place to relax and unwind! Views of the vines are stunning and the creekside tables are lovely!
Wonderful tasting experience - enjoyed lovely quiet time with excellent wine and a charming creek view - loved it!
It is clear that the owners of this winery think a great deal of themselves. Got it…you don’t allow dogs ANYWHERE but the lowly grass with the few tables scattered in your backyard, but It is ridiculous that you would not allow a completely contained (in a zipped up stroller) 9 pound, quiet elderly Maltese to remain in her stroller as we tasted your wine in the tasting room…which is not the Taj Mahal. I am glad that there are better wineries in the area which treat guests with more respect, because your curt dismissal was all we needed to never return.
David took great care of us for our tasting during a bachelorette outing in July 2025. All the staff were lovely, the grounds were beautiful, and the wines were very good. They even had a musician on the Saturday we went. Great experience all around.

super weird energy from the staff.
Absolutely fantastic winery and hands down the best wine in the region that I've had the honor of tasting- and I'm a member at several localish wineries.
We went on a Friday and the musician was also the best I've ever heard at a similar venue.
Literally the only thing that could make it better would be bringing in a food truck on music nights but eating charcuterie from a box was a tiny price to pay for the quality of wine and venue ambiance.
Other wineries wish they could pull of this level of absolute local dominance.
You have options, alot of them, in fact.
3 creeks is by far the best one.
We found Three Creeks Winery several years ago and make a point to stop in every time we visit the area. PJ and the staff are always so welcoming, chatty, and willing to help you find the right wine for you. We enjoy sitting inside, but truly come here to sit outside. The Adirondack chairs and fire pits sitting by the creeks make for an incredibly peaceful and enjoyable visit. This is a spot you don’t want to miss!!
The wine is delicious, and the outdoor area is great!
