Canvas exceeded expectations. The food was exceptional, and the staff provided friendly, attentive service. My fried pork chop dinner was perfectly seasoned, and the strawberry mimosa was delightful. Chef Vision's culinary expertise was evident in the well-seasoned, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented dishes. I will certainly return.

The service is terrible. The menu should be thrown in the garbage because they don’t have any of the items we came for: Jerk Lamb Chops, Turkey Wings, Crab Cakes, Smashed sweet potatoes, Mac & Cheese etc. We settled for what we got & the appetizers took so long you would have thought we asked to have them with the meal which took even longer. The shrimp & Grits had no flavor, the Oxtails ( you got 2 . One small and one large) tasted like beef stew. The pork chops said Caramelized onions yet the onions were barely cooked and the Demi glaze was disgusting. The salmon came out RAW, the replacement was DRY & our server disappeared before the food even arrived. Having auto gratuity for 4 people as a LARGE party is inexcusable. Service was too terrible to even accept paying that! Our table wasn’t pre bussed until the bartender came over to help us with the raw salmon because once again she went Mia.

The drinks and food came out wrong and by the time the food did come out it was cold and It took us over an hour to get our food when we did. The chairs also have stains all over them from what looks like drinks spilled. The only decent thing was the music

The have a 20 % gratuity that they add on peoples checks even if it’s a party of 2. On the menu it says gratuity added to checks of 5 or more if checks are $100 or more. We was so turned off by that, that the tip we was going to give the waitress she didn’t get, which was more then the $23 gratuity. That’s sad I’ve never seen a party of 2 that has gratuity added on there check as if it was a party of 5

I recently visited Canvas for the chicken and waffles, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, it took over an hour for our food to arrive. When it finally did, the waffles had a strange taste that was off-putting, and the chicken was bland and lacked any real flavor.
Given how long the wait was, especially with the place not being busy, I expected much better. It felt like the kitchen was either disorganized or simply didn’t care. Overall, it was not worth the wait, and I wouldn’t recommend it based on this experience.

Pros: Mimosa flight $25 was ??, -Kids meal chicken and waffles was good portion size and flavor for $8. -DJ played great music and decorations throughout the place were nice.
Cons: The table wasn’t wiped down before seating. The portion size for $20 Canvas sampler was small and quality of food was basic. I could’ve made it better at home.
The sausage was very tough and grits were plain.
The $5 kids mac and cheese was oily and portion was about 1 full cup. Not worth it.
Lastly the bathroom floor was filthy.

I will never eat here again, and I was here for a birthday party to celebrate my Aunt. Firstly they couldn't seat us until everyone was there and If never had a issue like that at a resturant , but ok. Secondly we waited over an hour for the food and was told by management that they wanted to hold our food until they had all of the tables order ready. It wad only five people and it caused put food to become cold.Thirdly it was so loud in there we couldn't even hear each other or our waitress wich caused food to become wrong. One lady had an allergy to cheese and they put cheese in her food. They did nothing to rectify the situation. It was excuse after excuse. I asked for my food to be taken off due to being cold and subpar. I was told it would get discounted and it wasn't. The manger was completely useless and it was an extremely poor dining experince. It is terrible because you want to support black owned bussineses and this happens. Don't go to this place because evidently they don't want our patronage. There are so many other restaurants that are worth spending money at.

Waited over 1 hour and 30 mins for food. Asked about the food with the manager and was told that their food takes a long time and others are waiting as well. Unacceptable and not the type of establishment I would ever visit again. No sense of urgency or customer service. Never again. Ruined our birthday celebration and there were only 5 of us at the table. No excuses.

I am currently at the restaurant celebrating a friends birthday and a few extra people arrived and there were no exceptions attempted to accommodate the extra guest. Matter of fact several people showed up and were encouraged not to order anything due to another party arriving 20 min afterwards. It wasn't the fact that there wasn't any accommodations made it was the attitude from the waitress. This was not the only time this waitress was extremely rude she announced to the entire group if we did not put on our listening ears while she was bringing the food out she would simply return the food to the kitchen. Why tell a group of paying customers you are going to take there food back to a kitchen. Especially when gratuity is about to be charged. Im all about customer service and the heavy set waitress with braids that had red in them extremely rude and condescending. Mind u 9:22 i will add pics of how empty it was so accommodations could have been made

The people sitting to us got their food and a to go order yet we couldn't even get our food! Because we are respectable honest people we paid for the mimosa but for our inconvenience and the extreme wait it should have been FREE! DO NOT GO HERE!
