Solid 4 star Diner Diners have an old school vibe. This one hits the mark. The first bite for everyone was a delicious surprise that kept your fork going back to the plate for more. The food was memorable and the other patrons all had similar reactions.
Why not 5 stars? First impression was slightly off putting…We arrived with a large group of 8. While we were figuring out what to do, we were told that we needed to sit or move because they needed the booth. I am from the school of figuring out a solution together instead of highlighting the problem or the obvious. We obviously figured out a solution and am glad fiat impressions aren’t lasting ones or we wouldn’t have enjoyed our meals as much as we did! Would recommend this spot for smaller groups of 4 or less. You’ll love it!

The lady in all black not friendly at all seems like she catered to the whites in the restaurant instead of all customers I work in the industry and really felt like she just didn't want us there at all I asked for my sausage to be turkey sausage didn't happen and we don't eat pork it was just a horrible experience for us and we aren't from here just visit but won't be back and decided to TELL EVERYONE NO TO GO AS WELL once we move here permanently Overall visit was horrible I see why they do only breakfast and lunch they pulled this as a dinner restaurant and they would definitely be out of business

THIS IS THE BREAKFAST SPOT! When ya get in 😂 Anyways I had the Strawberry French Toast and good God was it good! The fresh strawberries, the right amount of glaze, and the toast was cooked just right!
Very reasonable prices, good diner food and friendly staff. It was super busy so go early!

Not a terrible place, but I won't be going back. The food was not anything I would want again. Not terrible but not good enough to want again. I got French toast, menu says thick slice, it was regular sandwich bread. Husband got chicken fried steak and said it was good but more mediocre. When you would prefer to cook at home than eat there that says enough.

Wow! My husband and I have always loved this spot, the previous owner always delivered on great food and good service.. but the new owner, Jess, has taken it up a notch! The food quality is better and the resturant has got a bit of a facelift with her touch, while still keeping the classic Fertittas feel. We avoided going to this local spot for a little.. it was falling into the normal “Hampton grudge” that so many places fall into in this area.. but Jess has totally changed that! Thank you Jess and team for putting your heart into this place (you can tell!) and keeping a quality local diner in Hampton! We may have found a new weekly spot!
