Please just close this location…. at least for a while to do some refresher training. Training needs to be completed with the staff as a whole. The professionalism, customer service and common courtesy has completely went out the door and let’s not forget the value of the product has decreased!!! The toaster STILL being broken and the rudeness of the staff is unacceptable. I came here yesterday for Veterans Day (11/11/25) for my free meal and to purchase 2 others and of course like always, it is always a problem. This time it’s a sign on the door saying they cannot do the promotion. However, they act like they didn’t want to serve us at all. Makes no sense. This place clearly does not want to make money and they definitely do not represent the hard work and support for firefighters for which Firehouse was started to begin with. This location has forgotten that and it’s shameful. Corporate definitely needs to come and have someone get this location in to shape or allow someone else to take over the space.

Will never visit this place for take out again. Got home and it is like they took the dressing and dumped it all over the outside of our subs. The messiest subs I have ever seen. Tried to call but you cannot talk to anyone all the phone system wants to do is text you a email address to send a email. Probably because they get so many complaints. If I can't talk to a person on the phone about an order issue, I'm not doing business with your company again.

I placed an order on the Firehouse app and waited for it for quite some time. Went into the store and they advised me that they could not provide my order because they had no gluten-free bread on hand. I asked for a refund and they told me that I would have to obtain that on the app. There is nowhere on the app to cancel the order and I have attempted to call Firehouse main number or customer service issue number and I receive a message that their phones are out of service or something's wrong in regards to contacting them. I just want you all to know you might not get your money back if you order on the app

The sandwich was not made correctly and the bread was burned and not horrible. And then to top it off, when you call the phone number that's online, it's attached to somebody's voicemail.That's not connected.I call the suffolk, virginia location and they were unhelpful at all.So when you go to firehouse, sub expect to get a nasty sandwich, expect not to be able to complain to anyone about it or get what you pay for. Food is horrible and the service is even worse.
Manager was openly complaining about customers coming in to eat at 8pm. Was using profanity and being very inappropriate. While the staff were preparing our food he was just sitting at a table playing games on his phone. The food was great but the manager and vibes were terrible.

I understand that the toaster wasn't working, but I think it's the main ingredient smh. and now reading the comments yall toaster haven't been working in a while. And to top it off yall very pricey for dry ssa food!! Ordered a cheddar brisket and all I tasted was the cheese. That my first an last time going there!

Horrible attitude!!! I wasn’t sure if pickle was inside this old black man has ego problem and gets ugly with me giving me attitude grabbing my sub and flipped over checking pickle saying it’s there. Well who puts pickle on the bottom of sandwich ?????? Whatever people there need have attitude checked.

I ordered from the Firehouse Subs app and had a great experience! I recommend getting toppings that hold moisture, like lettuce and tomatoes, on the side if you’re not eating right away to keep the bread from getting soggy. If you’re eating immediately, definitely get them included—so fresh and tasty! The wait was short, and the employee went above and beyond by bringing my order outside without me even asking. That’s top-tier customer service! The bread was perfectly cooked—soft, fresh, and delicious—and the amount of meat given was generous. Highly recommend!

I never made a 1-star review, but sadly this Firehouse Subs location has been going downhill fast.
I remember when they used to greet customers, now the employees there don't even acknowledge you.
I walked in to grab a meatball sub, I waited for a while before the cashier even noticed me standing and waiting to order and it wasn't busy at all.
I'm not asking for people to be on a customers beck and call, but a bit more professionalism wouldn't hurt this location.

First and last time ordering here. Was given the wrong order. Drove back to exchange for the correct order and Mr. Krabs krusty ahh would not give us the food we paid for or a refund. After the back and forth, we settle to just keep the wrong order but he tells his employee to throw it in the trash. Mind you, he replaced whoever’s order we had with no issue. Tells us to call corporate or doordash. We contact doordash for a refund but the order is “still in progress.” Doordash calls them to confirm the issue so we can receive our refund and no one answers the phone 🙃🦀
