This is our absolute favorite place. The food and service are five stars! It’s the most authentic Mexican food we have found in the area.
I was really excited for this place to open up. Because there’s not a lot of options for Mexican food in the area. When we went there to eat the atmosphere felt authentic, the music playing, the wood carved chairs were a great touch. Our server was really nice and attentive not really knowledgeable on the menu but I understand since it was a new place and takes time to learn the menu and they do have a big menu with lots of choices. I was still really excited until food showed up. The quality of the food is the same as a Tacoshop I was disappointed. I’ve been here twice the first time we didn’t take photos . The reason we came back was because my husband liked the burger quesadilla (he’s not Mexican lol) . So overall place looks great but food is meh

If you want great Mexican food, eat at Los Compadres, as they are the best restaurant around! We eat here every Friday! Also on Fridays, there is karaoke with DJS2 from 9 to midnight. We even stop by during the week sometimes for dinner. The food is delicious and the staff are all super! The whole experience (food and service) is something we look forward to all week. Oh, and the oysters are AMAZING and locally sourced :-)

Staff here is so friendly! The food is on point everytime we eat here. So flavorful, always hot and they are quick. We love this place

My friends and I came as a party of five on October 25, 2024. When I received my food there was a purple piece of yarn in my food. However I had noticed it after already eating half the plate. The manger said there was nothing she could do because no one had on a purple costume, however there were decorations hung up the same color…On top of that, they charged my friends and I for gratuity, when on the check it says they add gratuity to a party of six and over….but we were a party of five…so that didn’t make sense. So yea they tried to get over on us or scam us idk. Overall bad service we’ll never be back. STOP SCAMMING!

A real taqueria. Their salsa and chips are accompanied by a dish of delicious beans with cotija cheese instead of the dreaded “white sauce” found in most Hampton Roads Mexican restaurants. Enough said!!!
Edit: we can’t stop eating here. Everything is so good. The fresh tortillas, every protein option is seasoned so perfectly, and the fresh salsas are to die for. This place rules!
