Beef portion seemed to be somewhat fair, but the noodle portion just left a lot to be desired. My home town Pho place contains the same amount of meat and noodles in a small Pho for $9.99.

Great pho here. Always end up ordering P4, steak and brisket. Thier broth is always full of depth and flavor. Still the best pho joint in town. One day I'll stop to remember to take a photo. Their service and staff are always top notch and very attentive. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had a good dinner. The food was great. Service and atmosphere were average. Unfortunately, one thing I didn't appreciate of this business was that it doesn't have a senior citizen and military discounts here in Hampton VA where Langley AFB is and also where military personnel and seniors citizens reside. I asked the manager why and she said it was because the owner doesn't want to give it and didn't think it's that important. Even though his business is making money of these individuals. Not good at all.

I’ve been coming to this place for years. Every single time I order my food, it’s the same, incredibly delicious. What I love most about this place, it’s become a “comfort zone” for me. There are times when I just need to come here, order a bowl, have some water or tea and my day is instantly better. The staff is extremely accommodating, attentive and when you come as much as I do, they will put my order in without me even asking what I want. I appreciate them more than they know. Recently, the lovely ladies Ella, Ailani and Ling along with the young chef in the back, made my night! These ladies are always polite, attentive and patient with customers. The manager is my girl! Be sure to ask for any of these ladies when you come in. They will ensure you’re taken care of. This is a restaurant with great food for many, but to me, it’s home. Thank you!!!!

July 19 - I just left this place, and as a regular customer and local business owner in Hampton, I understand staffing challenges, which is why I rate the food highly but the staff poorly. I’ve noticed they frequently change staff, which isn’t beneficial. Today, the team wasn’t welcoming; every request seemed to be met with attitude. The air conditioning is broken, and with temperatures at 90 degrees outside, maybe that explains their mood. I joked with one staff member about my kids making noise, and she snapped back, “DO I LOOK LIKE I HAVE KIDS?” I ordered three skewers to go but only received two. When I pointed it out, I was told it was on the way with no apology. If I had left without my order after paying $22, I would have been very upset. I recommend just getting your food to go; it’s hot and the staff isn’t friendly. ( I did request refund on my takeaway because I refuse to eat food covered in that negative spirit)

I've made plenty of bad choices in life but this certainly wasn't one of them. The broth was AMAZING! The vibe of the restaurant is pretty chill it's certainly not a traditional Vietnamese spot, it's modern and spacious, and has a bar.

Absolutely love love love my meal. My first visit here at Pho 79. I ordered P4. Round Steak, Flank & Brisket – Pho Tai, Nam, Gau. And trust me it was flavorful with all the right combinations. I also ordered a strawberry and pineapple boba it was more like milk shake. I will probably not order that again and it was made fresh. My order came to $30, a bit on the high end for lunch but I highly recommend and will revisit.

Either way, I’m not complaining—they both know exactly what they’re doing.
The Pho Tai came with the usual garnishes—fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeño—which added a great contrast to the warm, savory broth. The beef was tender, and the noodles were just the right texture.
The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was clean and casual. Whether it’s part of Pho 79 or not, this place has definitely earned a spot on my go-to list for pho. Highly recommended for anyone craving a comforting, delicious bowl.
