I love the food at Pier 88 hands down but the last few times I came for take out and the young short lady with the blue in her hair, was not mean, but she was extremely blah. She wasn’t welcoming by any means and non helpful to my questions. Major turn off when you in this type of business. Nevertheless, my food was cooked perfect and was delicious. My professional suggestion is that they just kindly remind their front hostess or greeter that this is customer service and it should be just as important as the quality of food. Hopefully the next time I return this will be improved.

Table was dirty the guy didn't even wipe the table off just put a piece of paper on the table . Waited ten minutes for drinks no one came to take our drink order. All the employees were in the corner on their phones . So we got up to put to go order in here comes the waitress. Than she apologized. No need .

I went into Pier 88 today. Wasn’t greeted, at all. The person at the front that sat me down was on the phone, the entire time. Rather than speaking to me, he utilized his hands (gesturing where it was I was going to be seated). There were 2 additional workers. One was sitting behind the bar, on his phone, not even acknowledging that there were customers, waiting to be serviced, and the other, was, well, walking in & out of the restaurant. After about 15-20 minutes, I asked a customer sitting at the bar to get the worker’s attention (the one sitting on his phone, not acknowledging customers) and his response was: “We see her, thats not my table. Her server is taking care of business, and will be with her, when he gets a chance” EXCUSE ME?!! If that wasn’t an example of TERRIBLE customer service, I don’t know what else to tell you.
I’ve never been the type to even take the time to give such reviews, but that was very off putting and Pier 88 will NEVER AGAIN be patronized by me.

The owner is a rude and he clearly has a problem with people of color. I went there with a peaceful demeanor. But my experience with that Asian owner was horrible.. I will NEVER EVER EAT THERE AGAIN..

Yesterday I ate dinner at Pier 88 in Hampton, VA. Now I am from PA and have never been to Hampton before; but let me say that I had the BEST catfish dinner that I have ever eaten in my life! It was outstanding! Service was excellent too! While I will probably never be able to return, I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a fantastic meal at a reasonable price! I wish I lived closer!
