Food is great. Service trash. Host always sitting down on the benches soon as you walk in all on the phones. My boil bags always incorrect, like every single time. Got a boil bag yesterday and I wanted 4 potatoes instead of 2 corn and 2 potatoes. Take a wild guess on what I got instead………..Right. One time I called the restaurant to place a pick up order and shorty answered the phone like “Hello”. I’m like umm helloooo is this the twisted crab? She’s says yea. Well babygirl I wouldn’t have known that cause for a second I thought I called my homegirl instead by mistake. You ask your server for something she never comes back with it, then she’ll hit you with the “oh let me bring you that I’m sorry” AND STILL WON’T.

The service was horrible, it was not busy for a Sunday after, but still the servers was not paying attention to customers. They all hang out in lobby at front door. When you call for other servers they keep walking. Won’t be visiting this location ever again.

Terrible service and experience. Waited over 20 minutes for anyone to even greet us. Had about 10 host/servers on the floor laughing and giggling. We had to ask for service twice. After about 40 minutes after being sat we received service. Twisted in Newport news is way better. Don't waste your money or time here.

I am absolutely disgusted by the treatment my family and I received at this establishment. As a mixed man, I came here with my white wife and mother, hoping for a nice experience to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Instead, we were blatantly ignored from the moment we walked in. We had to beg just to get our order taken, and despite specifically mentioning we were there to celebrate my wife’s birthday, nothing was done to acknowledge it. No special attention, no birthday song—nothing.

To make matters worse, an all-black table nearby was given the full treatment, complete with a birthday chant. It felt like a direct slap in the face. I understand that America is going through challenging times, but that does not excuse this kind of blatant racism. Prioritizing one group of people while neglecting another is not only unfair but completely unprofessional.

We all deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of the color of our skin. It’s deeply disheartening to see this kind of behavior still so prevalent in places where we should feel welcome. I would have hoped for a decent human experience, but instead, I left feeling humiliated and devalued. This establishment needs to do better. I recommend you go elsewhere.

Don’t even waste your time

I’m new to this state and someone told me about this place went there for lunch it takes 45 minutes for the food to come out. So I take my husband and granddaughter for dinner get there at 5:30 no one cones to our table until 5:45 put our order in they bring our drinks about 10 minutes at 6:30 I-asked the server how long more we have to wait to get our food she said about five minutes because she checked on it couple minutes ago, it didn’t come so I checked again at 6:40 she said it not ready because they are busy in the kitchen so I said people come after us and get there food i was so upset I have to leave because my granddaughter was so hungry I had to take her to Burger King you guys have to do better that was a long time to wait for food.

The best part of this experience was our server Kobe!! The food was great, flavor and seafood was cooked to perfection. Our drinks took a little long, no fault to Kobe though. Whenever we brought up the issue, he checked and made sure we were satisfied with our food and drinks. He was attentive and would love to have him as our server again whenever we come back.

During my visit to see my friend, I had the chance to try some Cajun food at a local restaurant. The experience was pleasant overall; the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The dishes offered a good range of flavors typical of Cajun cuisine, featuring spicy seasonings and hearty portions. While I wouldn't say it blew me away, it was a satisfying meal for anyone craving that kind of food. There were no unpleasant surprises, just a decent dining experience that captured the essence of the Cajun.

I brought my friend here for a belated birthday celebration. We were the first customers in the door right at 12:00.

The hostess seated us promptly, but told us that the server wasn't even there yet. The hostess took our order and brought our drinks. The server rushed in through the front door shortly after.

Our table was clean when we were seated but the floor had some trash from last night on it. Whoever closed didn't do a thorough job.

The vents on the ceiling are absolutely filthy and clearly haven't been dusted in a long time. It's just dust, but it's so dark it almost looks like mold.

Food was decent. Prices are great so that was a big plus. Calamari? EASY 10/10. Delicious and had me tempted to order more.

Shrimp were okay. Not much flavor by themselves but with cocktail sauce were good. Fries are kinda weird. You can see the seasoning on them but they don't taste like anything.

We'll be back for the calamari but we won't be showing up right at opening time.
