I rarely ever leave bad reviews, I'm someone who will try a place that missed the mark 2-3 times to give the benefit of the doubt & today was my last time trying Vanguard. The attitude & blatant disrespect we received today by our server/bartender is an embarrassment to this business. We showed up today for a retirement celebration of someone in my old unit, most of us are active duty military, GS or veterans who have been to Vanguard before (mostly for drinks). The last two times, my food took well over an hour and we had to get it to go which wasn't an issue at the time since we weren't in much of a rush and I didn't make a big deal about it. Today's visit was absolutely brutal, I made sure to place my order as soon as I got there to prevent history from repeating itself on the time it takes to get my food. However, it seems no matter what I do I find myself with everyone at my table eating while my food is no where to be seen. This time our CMSgt who just got back from deployment was with me & she didn't get her food or appetizers either despite us asking if it would be much longer. Everyone finished their meals & when it came time for us to have to leave & get back to our unit we walked up to the bar and spoke with the lady with long brown hair and a baseball cap. Our goal wasn't to get a discount or ditch out, we actually were just wondering if we could get it to go so that we could eat it after our meeting in our office. We asked her if she could check to see if that was possible and she came back up and let us know our food wasn't ready and it would be another wait (it had been now an hour and 15 minutes since we placed our order). We expressed to her that we had to get back to the office & couldn't wait so we would need to cancel our order. She looked up at us rolled her eyes and said yep. When our Chief tried to tell her what her order was she interrupted her and said "I know!" Then completely dismissed her. No apology, no anything. If this is the standards for how customers are treated I will gladly go elsewhere. We are taking Vanguard off our unit outing list after this experience, we truly love the area, and space but it isn't worth the headache & leaving without the food you ordered. I'm not sure what time limit the server thought was appropriate for us to wait but an 1hr 15 mins wasn't it. I really had high hopes for this, but it truly fell flat.

Th instead of canceling my order when they didn’t have everything in stock or notifying me they continued with my order. The order was picked up 13 minutes prior to it getting to my house and it was cold. I will not eat here again. I would not waste your money

The servers are kind. The kitchen is out of a lot of items, the brunch isn’t worth trying.
The music was so loud during brunch that we had to request it be turned down…it wasn’t pleasant morning/midday type music.
The wait time for food is way too long.

Paid $20.00 extra per person for VIP loft. The loft was nice, but the bar is very limited there (had to go down to the main bar for mixed drinks). The rail area in the loft was 50% blocked by video operators, so most of the time, we could not see the band. I'm not sure it matters much, but the band was playing a great selection but sang poorly. The surest sign of a bad band is where they have the volume up so loud that you can't hear the vocals. Personally, I would not waste my time attending a music event here. The food and atmosphere are good for unwinding. Just be aware of their band choices.

We came out for the Yacht Rock tonight, we were Super Disappointed with the band & the guy upstairs on the balcony recording the band. The band wasn't really that good & their mike's were too loud. They were screaming more than singing. The man recording them, it was pretty rude for him to take up so much space. Especially since everyone up there paid double to be up there. The amount of people up there paid at least a total of $600.
I didn't put any stars for food because we didn't eat & didn't require any service

Waited 30 minutes before the server came back to the table to say they dropped my food on the floor and because of cooking preference it was going to take awhile to remake it. Still waited for it and also placed a to go order. How did my to go order come before my actual food and it was literally the same meal. My first time here and I don’t think I’ll be back. Wasted a lot of time waiting and no apologies or anything offered for my wait.

Overall, the food is okay but not great. The atmosphere is very good, as well as, the beer selection, and the customer service is always good. Parking can be limited at times.

Waited forever for food and drinks... when it arrived, it was cold. Great band that they obviously did not expect the turn-out and did not have enough staff. Waited over 1.5 hours for cold meatloaf....

I’ve been here a few times over the past couple years, and decided to spend NYE there this year. We were seated promptly, but no servers came to take our order so we used the QR code on the table to order. After we ordered, a server came by and asked if she could take our order and we told her we already did. She was NOT happy about that because she said they don’t see those tips when we order online, and it goes to the owner…she then walked away upset we did that. Drinks take forever to come by ordering with the QR code so I recommend going to the bar to order, or order with the server. Weird set up for tips if that’s how it is. We didn’t have cash so we ordered one last round at the bar a left a decent tip with the bartender.
