Wonderful and polite service. Very kind staff! Tasty sushi and sashimi. Well decorated for ambiance and a peaceful meal. I will certainly frequently visit this restaurant.

The food was very good. We had miso soup, seaweed salad, steamed gyoza, christmas roll, spicy tuna roll, and earthquake roll. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed the gyoza so much we had a second order of them. The servers were attentive and friendly. My only complaint was that it was a bit dark in the restaurant in certain areas, the restaurant was clean and well kept. Make sure you check the hours before you go as they close late afternoon then reopen. Great find.

I never tried the sashimi. I dislike the taste of raw fish but I take my chances here and I am glad that I did. It was amazing. The sushi rolls exquisite the special Hawaii roll... totally recommend it.

First time eating inside today. Such a cute restaurant. Our waitress was SO kind!! We loved her! She gave us a free appetizer & dessert. It was delicious. Food was great! We ate every last bite. Will definitely be back again. Thai tea was so yummy!!

AMAZING! The sushi was great, and so were the spring rolls! But the most notable thing was the staff and the service. Before I walked into the restaurant, I took a fall and busted my knee and elbow. One of the girls that worked there saw and ran out to take care of me. She brought bandages and cleaned my wound. She was an absolute angel; just wish I would’ve asked her name so that I could mention it in this review. Anyways, definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to get some quality grub at a fair price. Service was quick, food was great!

Arrived at Yama Chen's and was instantly greeted by the staff. We were sat quickly and given menus as wells ordered our drinks. The menu has a lot of sushi rolls as well as yummy meal options. We decided on the spicy shrimp and some sushi! The restaurant was very clean, darker lighting & very open layout. We will be coming back.

Cute inside. Quiet and cozy. Service was great. The staff were all very friendly. My daughter and I got the Candycane Roll, Volcano and Spicy California. Candycane was definitely yummy! I get The Volcano at every sushi spot and theirs was good too! My daughter loved the miso soup. We got the appetizer size Fire Chicken. Enough for us two to share. Not spicy by any means but tasty. I would definitely go back when I’m on that side of the water.

Terrible service! Me and my family went around 4pm Sunday, there was five of us. We were the only customers in the place they sat us down and gave us menus, and we continued to sit for another 10min with no service at all not even water. Then two customers walked in to dine they sat them and then offered them service, how irritating. Me and my family got up and walked out and ate at a better sushi establishment nearby. We will never return or would I recommend this place and that will be unfortunate for them, because I am a small business owner in the city of Hampton and I do business with many city officials.

What a great Sushi spot!! The staff was super sweet and attentive. I loved the lights and simplicity of the restaurant. It gave it a mellow vibe. The food was perfect: - tempura shrimp-fire chicken -two spring rolls on the house. - chicken teriyaki-noodle plate- three delicious rolls!!!! Everything was perfectly scrumptious. And they were so sweet to bring by some mini cheesecakes for us!! My toddler was very happy! We had the best server which made this a super pleasant first time!

We went on a Friday afternoon and it was not full. The service was fine. I had the spicy fire chicken lunch special which tasted good (not very spicy at all) but was a very small portion. My partner had 3 sushi rolls which he said were good and they seemed to be a decent size. We got free egg rolls and edamame, and candy came with the bill. Not sure I would be rushing to go back but there are increasingly few places to get good sushi around here!

The sushi here is pretty good! It doesn't take forever to get your food after you order. The Iron Man roll is one of my faves. The decor is really cool, and inviting. The service is good. I love how I can eat in or take out, and either way I'm satisfied. The spicy tuna roll and spicy salmon rolls are always good too. Hey the house salad - the ginger dressing is yummy!!

While the decor is awesome. The atmosphere and food quality is not worth it. The one in Yorktown is so much better. But if you just want some takeout and decent sushi then it’s okay.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!! I knew something was off from the beginning. This was the worst experience ever!! I ordered crazy volcano with cream cheese. This is one of my favorite rolls anywhere else. But today it was HORRIBLE!!! The roll tasted old, as if it was prepared days ago, then deep fried. The cream cheese was just a dollop on top of the roll like it was sour cream or something just smh. But the worst part was the horrible service by the lady at the register. She was rude and she was mean from the start. But I ignored it bc maybe there is a language barrier, so I ordered. I took my food to the car as I was killing time between appointments. First bite gross and tough. The second I damn near threw up. Went inside to tell her, and the theatrics began. When I told her it was bad, she started screaming. Then she started crying, saying she was sad and she couldn't return my money. She walked off several times. But I waited, and she continued to cry and scream. Finally, the chef(I guess) came and said something to her. She was mad and still crying. We exchanged words bc at this point, I'm cussing you out!!!! I need my money. I got it!! NEVER GO THERE IT IS HORRIBLE WITH HORRIBLE SERVICE !!!!!

AS Normal

First time I stopped by they were closed (3:00 - 4:30). I tried again today & got there by 2:00. I'm glad I did as it was the best sushi I've found in the area in many years. The Sashimi Lunch, at under $12, was a great deal. It had substantial, premium, beautifully sliced fish, which came separately boxed from the warm rice that was excellently cooked. It was prepared within 4 minutes of my walk-in order. Even the chopsticks were premium - nice and thick, which felt so good in the hand. I'm thrilled and definitely will return. I feel lucky that it is in such a convenient location.
