As an Italian tourist visiting Virginia, I can confidently say that this is the best place I’ve eaten at during my time in Hanover. The staff are incredibly friendly, kind, and sincere, making me feel very welcome. The prices are excellent, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. It’s truly a wonderful place, and I highly recommend it!

Came from PA to visit Kings Dominion. Staff are super friendly , the place is very clean and the food was amazing. They give you so much food. Ordered my dad lunch to go for two days and then brought my whole family back the day we were leaving. Definitely know where we are eating when we go back to

Staff was very sweet even though we got there late, right before close. Food was excellent!! You have to try their ice cream sandwiches. Support your local business and give courthouse cafe a visit! <3

First visit to Courthouse Cafe at Hanover Courthouse. We both ordered the Meatloaf Sandwich on Sourdough bread from the day’s specials menu and it was To-die-for, moist and slathered with BbQ sauce. The sourdough was grilled perfectly. The shoestring fries were literally mounded up and falling off the plate and cooked just right. Good iced tea (don’t underestimate the importance of properly brewed iced tea!).For dessert we shared the Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwich - Banana Pudding flavor, with a chocolate drizzle… SO YUMMY!They’ve done a great job of renovating So Far Thus the 4 stars in atmosphere, they really need some wall decor. The Bar area looks very inviting.Definitely will return!

Parking: Fairly ample parking lot. If needed, you could park at the courthouse and walk across the street.

Found this place while going to a near by event. Glad we did! It was near closing time so it wasn't busy. The waitress was the best!! The drinks were tasty. We had smashed burgers, fries and onion rings....delicious!!! Service was quick and the waitress was super friendly, chatting with us like old friends. Definitely will be back again!

Food was quick and good. Meghan was awesome. I left my credit card when we left to go to a local attraction. She figured out where we went and brought the card to us. That is absolutely awesome. Will definitely be

A hidden gem sitting in plain sight, across from the historic Hanover Courthouse (built in 1735) and next to historic Hanover Tavern. Lunch menu offered a variety of local and American specials, all cooked to order. Crab cakes and Carolina-style pulled pork were exceptionally good. Acoustically live interior made for noisy dining with everyone speaking louder and louder to be heard. Needs tapestries, sound-deadening or something. Street-side dining would have been a good choice today.
