Valentine dinner was awesome. Service top notch. Atmosphere was lacking but the dinner and service far exceeded expectations.

Went there for Valentines Day. Had reservations for 2 at 7:30pm. Ive been really excited to try there. We didnt get seated until 8:15pm and that was at the bar area, which I wasnt happy about that, because Im short and its hard to get on the stools, but we were happy just to be seated. Also, we had to share a menu. We waited 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us, except one time the hostess walked by and wanted to take our menus and I proceeded to tell her then that no one had waited on us. The bad part was the manager constantly walked past us and never even acknowledged us neither. Finally a waitress stopped by and asked us had we been waited on, we told her no, then we waited another 5 mins and still no one. We got up and walked out, still never being acknowledged. Its truly bad because I have really wanted to try there. Oh well, so much for our Valentine date night.

A must-visit gem at Smith Mountain Lake!

Copper Kettle Co. in Moneta, Virginia absolutely exceeded our expectations. Every dish was outstanding, starting with the seared tuna appetizer, which was delicate, fresh, and perfectly executed. The filet and lobster tail were phenomenal—cooked flawlessly and full of flavor. The mahi mahi in coconut cream sauce was light, beautifully balanced, and perfectly seared, proving this kitchen truly understands seafood.

Even the sides deserve praise—the sautéed buttered carrots were hands-down the best we’ve ever had. The steak and seafood options are ideal for a special vacation dinner, and the wine selection is fantastic. We especially loved the sommelier’s recommendation of The Language of Yes blend, which paired perfectly with our meal.

The service and atmosphere were amazing, warm, attentive, and welcoming. We sat on the patio on a gorgeous fall day, and the sunset over the Blue Ridge Mountains was breathtaking—the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening.

Copper Kettle Co. is truly a must-check-out spot when visiting Smith Mountain Lake. We can’t wait to return

Sunday brunch was good. The omlett was what I expected. The chicken basil flatbread was very good.

Yes this is the real deal. The food was fantastic. I got the ribeye and it was cooked and season to perfection. Also the gravy that came with the mashed potatoes didn't look that great but it was even better than the ribeye.
I def want to come back here when I am in the area.

So glad we have this restaurant here at SML. The food is wonderful and the servers are friendly and caring.
The only issue I have is the menus. The plastic menus at this restaurant remind me of a diner. The good food, nice wine menu, and pricing are above these plastic menus. Maybe keep the plastic menus in the bar, but upgrade the menus in the dining room.
One more suggestion is that they turn the lights down in the “dining room room“ - Again, a tad reminiscent of a diner.
Hopefully the owners will read this and appreciate the input because we hope they stay around for a long time!

They refused to serve me wine because of my out of state ID, they said it didn't look like other ones they've seen, implying that its a fake. Will not be coming back to this place.

It was a wonderful place to enjoy an expertly made cocktail by a true mixologist who loved her job. So you can understand my disappointment to hear that Candice was being taken off her long time position as bartender. I’m sure I’m not alone in reevaluating my patronage.

Trying to act elite but food was ordinary for its price. Wish I'd gone to the bar place we passed on the way out to it

Food was 10/10. GREAT gluten free options. Came for a brunch! We waited a little longer than normal for our check but other than that it was a great dining experience outside with the view.

Food was awful and the prices were outrageous despite the poor quality.

This place has a beautiful dining area and a nice patio with outdoor seating. Too bad the food is mediocre at best. I ordered Chicken Marsala which was overcooked and too salty . I got a salad on the side which was plentiful but bland. It came with prepackaged lettuce mix, pre shredded cheese, tasteless cucumbers and tomatoes and what tasted like bottled dressing. We ordered a bottle of red wine that was stored under refrigeration and served cold - really ? Come on now. This place is tired and could use a new chef, a sommelier , and some tasteful dishes other than what US FOODS has on the truck.
