My family and I have come to Cracker Barrel frequently over the past several years, and unfortunately our experiences have been very inconsistent. Sometimes we visit and have a great meal with friendly, attentive service, which is why we continue to come back. However, other times the food quality and taste are disappointing, and the service can be very poor.
When we choose to spend our money eating out, we expect good food and good service every time, not just occasionally....

Food was good, but the poor waiter was having a bad day I guess. Ordered onion petals but he brought pickles. He switched them out. Dirty dishes sat on table until we left. Ordered chicken soup to go, no spoons, napkins or crackers in the bag.
Bad days happen. He was very nice so I won't hold it against him .

Food is great, server was great, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the hostess. Her personality was a little lacking and small. Cold, not greeting. That would be the only reason I would not return. Everything else was great.
