Food was pretty good, service was passable as was the atmosphere. Not much of a dining area, most of the room was given to the bar. Prices were on the high side, a burger, a cubano sandwich and one order of fries with tax and tip came to $43.00. For that price I could have had a real meal at Wood Grill. Not sure I will go back.
I go here all the time. Not only for the food, but for the great hospitality and customer service. I get treated as if am attending a family reunion, cook out, or a party. The owners are absolutely phenomenal. Some of the best food in Harrisonburg without a doubt. The El jefe is an absolute masterpiece of a burger, let alone there beautiful chop chop (add steak, you won’t regret it), to there appetizers such as the empanadas or tostones. I just saw that my favorite Restaurant in Harrisonburg (has been for years) has only 4.6 stars on google and I had to do my part to raise the rating. This place has fantastic food, really great cocktails and it’s extremely consistent. If you’re looking for a great burger in town and JBs is packed, or even if it’s not, this is the place to go.
