My daughter and I came for lunch on our way up 81 because she was craving a reuben. I got fried oysters. I never thought a dive bar-ish place in Harrisonburg would serve some of the best fried oysters I’ve ever had, but here we are. They don't believe in garnish. The fresh oysters on a half shell were crisp and sweet but a bit small. The crab legs tasted pretty good. The mushroom stuffed with crab meat with cheese sauce was delicious! The shrimp, easy to peel but had an off taste.
Doesn’t look like much and it has more of a bar atmosphere and feel; however, the food was fantastic. The oysters were fresh, the asparagus was amazing, and the garlic potatoes perfect. The fried shrimp was okay, they were medium size, and fried a bit too long. You could tell they were prepared in house and not from a package or frozen though. Overall very surprised and satisfied. You can smoke in the “bar” section of the restaurant or you can sit in the separated nonsmoking...
