Stubbornly wasteful. Every single time I ask them to skip the bag because I'm eating in, and they look me right in the eye proceed to put it in a bag. Every. Single. Time. Really makes me feel stupid.
This is the second bad experience we've had in the last week. The first time, my partner went in to order me a plain bagel and was met with attitude. The bagel I received was a different flavor. Today we did an online order and must have clicked on the wrong restaurant. Our mistake! However the Virginia Ave sent him to the East Market Street location. Once he got there he was sent to the South High location. The staff is not only rude but unknowledgeable on which location is where. Roughly 30 years of enjoying this local restaurant but their front end staff is not doing well in their position.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. You won’t find a better bagel anywhere!

I stopped on my way by a business trip from Richmond to Pittsburgh. Excellent bagels and service! I’ll definitely seek it out again!

Rude stàff at counter. Please avoid. Told me to come in earlier if I wanted bagels. Wow. Thought this was a bagel shop.

I love being able to visit (and totally enjoy) this kind of places where people are still what people used to be...
Simple, honest, kind, friendly...
More and more I seriously consider moving (far enough) away from the "city". Maybe when we retire? It would be nice ?
Now let's talk bagels, shall we? My country ham sandwich was delicious. The breakfast potatoes were also very good! And--as you may have already imagined from my first couple of paragraphs--the people were awesome!
Way to go, Mr J's!!!! ??

Mr Js is amazing. They have friendly staff and great food
I LOVE their chicken Charlie sandwich to pieces. I got a cinnamon roll and it was fire too, such a cute little restaurant, the staff there were super friendly and waited patiently as I struggled to speak due to social anxiety disorder.
