The chicken is pretty darn good. There isn't really any service. You order at the counter. Someone brings you food on disposable plates. You throw it away when you're done. The menu doesn't match what's in the pics on Reddit. It is pretty run down inside. But it didn't feel unhygienic. Just felt like a secret restaurant.

This place is an absolute gem. The chicken was well seasoned, juicy and delicious. The yucca was perfect, soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. But what blew me away were the plantains. They were the best I've ever had!! Loved that they were cut smaller to maximize caramelization.The photo is missing the other 3/4 of the chicken cuz they were on our plates. Can't wait to pick up my kiddo from JMU to come here again.

Stopped by here during lunch time. The guy taking our order at the register was nice and helpful as it was our first time trying this place out. I got the carne asada and my niece got a quarter chicken with fries and yuca. My carne asada was ok but I felt like it lacked flavor. The beans and rice were just ok as well. My niece's chicken was really small, she ordered a quarter chicken but it was super tiny. I tried a piece and wish I had ordered that instead of the carne asada....read full review
