I was traveling from Virginia to North Carolina with my parents, and since they can’t eat anywhere but Indian food, we decided to stop by Taste of India. Even though we arrived just 4 minutes before closing, the staff—especially the ladies—were incredibly kind and helpful. They gladly took our order without any rush or hesitation, which really touched us. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavors. It honestly felt like a home-cooked meal away from home. Their hospitality and kindness made our visit extra special. A true must-visit for anyone who loves Indian food or is traveling through the area!

The tikka masala is delicious, but I’ve noticed the entrance area is often messy with trash, which takes away from the experience. Also, the rice portion for takeout feels too small compared to the curry. A little more rice would make it perfect

I visited your restaurant, Taste of India, on the evening of August 31, 2025, with three of my friends. Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience due to the behavior of two female staff members.
Some customer complaint about excess salt in the food and these two employees started talking bitter words about Indians.
These female employees openly stated that they have no issue serving White or Nepalese customers but do not prefer Indian customers. This was extremely disrespectful and discriminatory. Despite being with three of my Nepalese friends, I felt unwelcome because of such remarks.
Because of this behavior, I was unable to enjoy my meal. Happy to speak with the manager directly over the phone to discuss this matter further.
I sincerely hope that you take steps to address and correct this behavior so that all customers feel equally respected at your restaurant.

This is one of the best Indian places in the area. We had the garlic naan which was cooked to perfection. The paneer makkhani was very flavorful. The curd rice was great as well, with the card being prepared fresh in house. The quantity of food was sufficient. I would visit again.

Food was okay, but service is very bad and the waiter was very rude and owners were supporting him. Not coming back here again.

Not usually one to leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing.
The service was poor. the waitress was extremely impatient and borderline rude. We weren’t even offered water throughout the meal.
We were charged $3 for a small side of pickle, which felt excessive. When ordering the paneer chilli, we were told it comes with rice. However, since we requested it as an appetizer rather than a main curry, the rice was removed but we were still charged full price. That felt misleading.
We ordered:
Paneer Chilli
Roti
Paneer Tikka Masala
The food itself was just okay nothing special. With the subpar service and confusing pricing, I’d suggest skipping this place. There are better options around.
This place lacks basic hygiene standards. The staff member who seated us immediately started sweeping the floor and then handed us the menu without washing her hands. Shortly after, she used the same hands to wipe the plates that were about to be served. When we raised the concern, she insisted she had washed her hands, which was clearly not true.
We ordered onion bhajia, and it was burnt. Throughout our visit, they kept saying they were closing, yet continued to take multiple orders after ours.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. I cannot recommend this place.

10 stars in each category!!!!!
We had the Vegetarian Thali and the meal was AMAZING! Ambience, service, presentation of food, quality/taste, and price were all outstanding!
The server was courteous, honest, and accomodating even to those who cannot tolerate dairy.
One of the best, if not, THE BEST Indian restaurants I’ve visited ever.. and I’ve visited several throughout the Southeastern US.
