My husband and I use to eat here every week .We have noticed that the prices have gone up too much and the quality of the food has gone down hill. They are using a different kind and smaller shrimp now. they are over cooked. The food is often cold which makes me think the warming burners are burnt out on the bar. It's sad to see a wonderful place go down hill over the past 3 years Since Brian is no longer in charge. All the waitresses and cashiers are amazing hard-working ladies....read full review
I went to Traditions today for lunch. The food was great! nice and hot, always fresh food out! staff was amazing! Great place for kids to eat! my son even loved their food! his favorite was mac n cheese!
was just there this past friday night for seafood buffet... less than desirable. the deep fried items had been cooked until the breading was hard & crunchy. the hushpuppies were hard & dry as a bone. again, cooked too long.the shrimp was like rubber. the shells were difficult to remove. not much seasoning. highly disappointed & most likely will not return. for the $87 or so i would skip & go to wood grill or mcdonalds.
Traditions Family Restaurant in Harrisonburg provides good food and friendly service. They serve fabulous seafood dinners, and the staff is always kind and welcoming. The buffet costs $25 per person and offers a variety of desserts, but the meat and side choices are limited. Many customers appreciate the fresh and hot food, especially for lunch and special events like engagement parties, where the fried chicken was consistently good. However, some recent visits have been disappointing; seafood buffet items, such as shrimp and hushpuppies, were overcooked and lacked seasoning, making them hard and dry. The parking lot is small, and the building is in a strip mall, which can be a bit crowded. Overall, Traditions is a decent place to enjoy a meal, especially for families, but certain dishes may not meet everyone's expectations.
