Amazing food quality off the highway! So worth the stop after getting gas. Grant, the lovely gentleman that took our order was kind enough to make allowances for our dietary restrictions. Thank you Grant!

This review is from when Ethel's and Eugene's were separate locations. I have not been back to either since the two joined into one location:The elk sausage dog was amazing. Everything is good here and even great to-go. I don’t eat much meat but this is one of my exceptions. It’s worth it! I skip the carbs and had them prep it without the bun. I’m sure many would think I’m missing some of the experience but I didn’t miss the bread because the fillings are so good! So glad this restaurant joined our community!

This place has some great food. The prices are a touch high but I don’t mind paying more for quality food. Service was very nice and helpful. Will definitely be returning.

Super delicious cheesesteak. Soft yet crusty roll, well portioned. Friendly staff. Finely chopped steak, was able to customize slightly.

Man, how we LOVED the original Eugene’s in Haymarket. The venue and bar was awesome, and the server was spot on in helping us with both food and beverage choices. Fast forward to their new location - menu is smaller, staff was a young woman mostly on her phone, and venue was lackluster. We stopped in early Saturday evening, and we both ordered the half smoked which was supposed to come with a pretzel bun. We were not served pretzel buns. The sausage was way too spicy for me to eat. So, I went back in and asked the girl 1) where were the pretzel buns and 2) what was so spicy in the sandwich. I was told that they were out of pretzel buns (which should have been told to us while ordering). I was then told the half smoked sausage was what was spicy. That was also not noted on the menu and definitely should have been in my opinion (I was raised not to waste food, and I have had plenty of half smoked sausages that were much more edible). I told her I was unable to eat it because it was so spicy. No response. I then ordered a plan bratwurst. Good customer service, which he had at the original location, who have comped the sandwich or at least have offered something to make it right (especially in light of not being told that there were no pretzel buns for that sandwich we were ordering). This experience was very disappointing. We will no longer be coming back.Update: Just wanted to add that the owner Jason was very responsive to my concerns and reimbursed me for the extra sandwich. It is truly a pleasure to experience a great response from a manager who hold to his word. Because of this, we are likely to go back again.

Single best tots I’ve ever had in my life. Don’t even have to think about it. I’ve lived in 6 states, major cities with great food from coast to coast & border to border, plus DC; these truffle tots would be acceptable as my last meal.

The food and service were pretty good. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is due to the merge of Ethel's and Eugene's. They condensed the menu considerably. You also cannot view an updated menu online and I personally felt that the menu doesn't give enough information we had a lot of questions that easily could've been posted online. They also do not have many options for people that don't eat pork, except a burger, no sausages. The food is still great but they were better off as separate restaurants.

The absolute best in Haymarket!! Very accommodating, they made us the most amazing Lobster Roll that we could never find anywhere and that was so simple and delicious. Their Cheesesteak literally melts in your mouth full of flavor. The owner is super nice and just find out they have multiple locations. What an amazing find!!!

My wife & I visited Eugene & Ethel’s this morning. We were welcomed by Michelle at the counter. She was really amazing and made us feel right at home.We both ordered the smash burgers w/ fries and everything tasted fantastic. It’s refreshing to interact with a person with an amazing personality as Michelle and the food to equally match. We will def. be back! Thank you Michelle for your great service.

There’s nothing special about this place. And maybe that’s just OK.Took the three kids and they enjoyed their food. Daddy not so much. Staff was pleasant but not welcoming. Food took 25 minutes. Kids ate everything.I’m an old timer who just expects a little bit more from mom and pop place. I won’t go back. But I could understand if the kids just need something to eat and no complaints.Unlike some I don’t get paid for my reviews.

My pregnant wife and I came here after she was craving for a half smoke with mustard. My wife got the grilled half smoke - the Diablo. And I got the OG. Right amount of spice that made it flavorful! This was our first time here and we were thoroughly pleased with all of our food. The hot dogs were cooked to perfection and the fries and tots were delicious. The quality of the sausage plus the variety of different dogs and topics brings this place to a coveted five star restaurant. One of the best places we’ve tried yet in the Manassas area!!! Next time we want to get the loaded fries.

Can't come through Haymarket without stopping at Eugene's. Had the Spicy Southern Hospitality and Truffle Fries this visit. The half smoke isn't over the top spicy. Just right. Fries are always done perfectly crispy.

Average food and above average prices. We went to Ethel’s expecting to be impressed but it let us down. Food was good but not amazing. The prices were ridiculous for what we got. Three sandwiches, no sides and no drinks for $50. Never going back.
