Obviously it’s not fast food and yes the food is cooked to order… too many people want McDonald’s food at Eugene’s. Flavor and quality is AMAZING… if you want the food faster… order it online and it’ll be done by the time you get there.

Food was exceptional. So tasty. Kind of expensive for a burger and a sandwich but it was very food.

Maybe we caught them on a bad day but the individual who took our order was rude. I'm fine with apathetic workers or bored workers, but rude for no reason? I felt bad that we even stopped in and interrupted his day. The dining area was FREEZING and when said individual brought us our food he basically threw my husband's down and the sandwich fell apart. No apology. We ate our food - my Reuben was dry - and left. There are better places to get the meal we just had with friendlier employees and prices. Needless to say I do not recommend this place except to avoid it.

Great experience. First time there. Excellent food. Staff was about it. I'll be back. Thank you!

Good food and nice vibe but it feels over priced. More importantly, the kitchen is incredibly, shockingly slow. I keep coming back thinking maybe they were just understaffed one a certain day but even when it's slow and there's only 1-2 customers the wait is painfully long.

Eugene's and Ethel's are one and the same place. Two different menu's. Nice ambiance and great service.

Food is delicious! I wanted to be annoyed at first by minor inconveniences, one my take out order being late and two my order still having onions when I requested without, however after biting into my food all my irritation went away with delicious food. The food alone here is worth 5 stars.

Always excellent food! The special this time of year was the italian hoagie. An impressive sandwich of sliced meats and provolone. The pickled onions and peppers were a nice touch. On sesame italian bread. I asked for no lettuceThe bacon cheddar cheeseburger came perfectly cooked. It’s rare to find chefs that always serve food I find perfectly cooked. I’m hoping the lobster steak special comes back next year. That was the #1 best food they’ve put out. You need to try this place!

I tried the exotic charcuterie platter which went for $55 I believe. I shared it with friends, did not know what to expect going in. I'd like to just say that it is very good, even if it was lacking a bit on the sausage front. For $55 bucks I expect a little more in the meat department. However, the platter itself was filled with all kinds of other things and showed that whoever's in the kitchen really pays lots of attention to detail. The platter included leeks, strawberries, brusselsprouts, garlic, mushrooms, potato coins, fresh mozzarella, and I'm probably forgetting a couple other things. It really was something to behold, the sheer variety of items they included. It would be great to bring to a party if you wanted to share it with several people. And the pretzel bread toast they included - don't get me started on that. So good. As for the sausage itself? It was absolutely wonderful. The only one that me and my party weren't necessarily the biggest on was the rabbit. Now hear me out, I didn't think it was bad per se. It just wasn't our favorite. I think someone described it as "gamey", so maybe rabbit just isn't our thing. But trying all the others ones (venison, duck and buffalo were the ones we received and apparently you won't get the exact same stuff every time you order which is very cool) was a treat, especially as someone unfamiliar with these flavors. I just wish there was a little bit more sausage cause, like I said, the price is up there. Oh, before I forget. The dips are easily the best I've ever had at a restaurant with this sort of fare: spicy mustard, Japanese mayo, some kind of avocado sauce and cheese dip. Okay, one more teeny tiny complaint. The picture they feature on their website for the charcuterie displays french fries and this platter would have benefited from including them (a little something extra to go with those delightful dipping sauces), and unfortunately we did not receive any fries. If they don't normally include them, that's fine, but the photo is a little deceptive. Anyway definitely come try this place!

I am never disappointed whenever we get food here! My husband and I have been to this new location twice now. We actually live right next to their Yorkshire location. But we like to occasionally come to the Haymarket location to try some of their specials that aren't available in Yorkshire. Let's just say I haven't met a dog here that I didn't like, they are ALL good. My husband's favs are the Danger Dog and the Spicy Southern. I'd recommend the Banh Mi or the Reuben and we both love the Elote fries. The staff here are super welcoming and attentive. The facility is always clean and they do have some outdoor seating.
