Our opening is this cafe. I liked everything, tasty, clean, pleasant, atmospheric, the menu has quite a large selection. In the photo: soup with shrimp and lemongrass, chicken with vegetables (large portion for two), we also ordered a small portion to take away. Thank you?

A disappointing meal all around. The Mongolian beef was mostly onions. The scallops & vegetables were doused in a bland sauce, thickened with cornstarch but ultimately flavorless. Chose it because it wasn't marked with a pepper (for spicy) but still expected some seasoning. Best thing about the meal was the fried rice.

Service here was quick and friendly. Called in for a to-go order and it was estimated to be done in 10 minutes. Got there and my order was completed and ready to go. Got their lo mein with beef--cooked perfectly and great portion. Did have to add more soy sauce to it for my liking but glad it wasn't overly seasoned.

Young Chow used to be one of the better Asian restaurants in the area, but their quality has decreased while their prices increased. My latest order of "all-white-meat" General Tso's Chicken had a whole leg bone in it--battered and double-fried as if it belonged. The other chicken was so overcooked the batter was too tough to chew. With Taste of Asian gone thanks to COVID, the options for good Chinese in Haymarket are slim indeed.

I had the Hunan Beef Lunch portion. It had a good amount of spice and the flavor was excellent. It was way beyond expectations. All three of my friend's said the same thing about their mesls as well. The service was spot on and the restaurant is very nice inside.

The food is delicious, best wonton soup I ever had! The place is very clean and the service is great and fast. Too bad I don't live close by to visit more often, but that'll be a mandatory stop when traveling north from now on.

I’ve had the egg drop soup several times, and it’s always good.Unfortunately, I got sick after having a few bites of the sesame shrimp dish that’s listed under the chef’s selection. It’s been 15+ hours since I ate this, and I am still nauseous. Not sure if the shrimp itself was cooked because of the heavy deep fry. The server apologized for the food, but that doesn’t take away how it made me feel sick overnight and today. I won’t be going back.

I LOVE this place!!!! I have been coming here since I was little girl! When they were at their oldest location that’s now a highway lol but I love this place! It’s always good and the owners are so polite place is always clean and the orange beef is my favorite!

Definitely the best Chinese restaurant in the Haymarket/Gainesville area.Food: it taste freshly made and you can actually taste the authentic flavor of the dish. It’s not all salt/oil/sugar like other Chinese restaurants. Their rice is also the freshest. Their food quality is great.Parking: plenty of parkingRestaurant ambience: I’ve only done takeout but the place is clean and well-maintained.Customer Service: if I could give 100 stars I would. The owner is just so lovely and nice. When my husband does the food pickup and has our toddler with him, the owner goes out of her way to help him open the door, etc. the owner also gave me a few extra fortune cookies for my toddler when I asked for just a couple LOL. She’s super nice!Delivery: they unfortunately don’t have delivery service yet (as far as I know). I wish they would be in doordash or something..

My Mom was in the hospital and could only have clear broth to eat. I ordered a small bowl of wonton soup with no wontons and only the broth. When I can to pick it up, they gave it to me free of charge as a holiday gesture. After spending the entire day at the hospital with my mom, I was exhausted… This random act of kindness in my day, and honestly made me cry. Thank you to the restaurant for making a sad person, smile. And the soup broth was delicious!

We spent over $100 on several different dishes tonight. The others seemed fine but my General Tso's chicken tasted bad. It tasted like something they pulled out of the back of the refrigerator and microwaved then dumped a bunch of sauce on.
