Balkan exceeded my expectations! Very familiar with the food, I must say that that the chef brought out the flavors of each dish so beautifully! EVERYTHING is made from scratch, including the phyllo dough!!! A true culinary experience. I must go back to try the cabbage rolls! Thank you for making my birthday unforgettable.

The restaurant also offers generous portions, especially the mixed meat platter and potatoes, and the chicken kebab is seasoned perfectly. The veggie sandwich is one of the best and the cornbread appetizer with the two sauces was delicious. The sautéed vegetables are some of the best in Richmond. This restaurant is a must-visit for authentic Balkan cuisine in Richmond.
