Perhaps best bbq I've had in a while. Amazing cornbread. Had to get smoke wings twice in a week they are that good. Best ribs ive ever had and I never really go for ribs. This place does it all and does it all great.

The parking lot was almost empty on a Saturday evening. There was no smell of food cooking when you entered the building. There was less than 10 customers inside. We read the menu and left.

I spent over $150 this past Saturday evening only for our entire meal to not be edible. Tbh, I've never complained before, but I just can't let this go. Full rack of baby backs and full rack of spare with 4 sides that was so small, I could of screamed!!! I'm all for splurging on good food, but it was horrible!!! Will never return.

Place was very clean. Tables were appropriate. Food was served on a metal tray, but was quite good.

So my friend and I finally decided to give Buz and Ned’s Real Barbecue a shot after hearing endless praise from our circle. We walked in and BAM the unmistakable aroma of smoked meat slapped me right in the face. No complaints though, because that smell? That’s the scent of happiness.

It’s a seat yourself kind of place, which gave us a few minutes to take in the laid back vibe before we dove into the menu and let me tell you, it’s extensive. But let’s be honest, I came for one thing and one thing only: ribs. The biggest, beefiest, most thicccccc rack they had to offer.

And sweet baby back Moses, those ribs did not disappoint. The flavor? Stupendous. The tenderness? Heavenly. I nearly called my mom mid-bite to tell her I found religion in rib form. Absolute 10/10.

Now, my only (tiny) note after finishing my rib induced enlightenment, my hands were coated in what I can only describe as “glorious BBQ aftermath.” A few wet wipes or hand sanitizer at the table would’ve saved me a trek to the bathroom. Not a dealbreaker, just a friendly PSA from a sauce covered customer.

In conclusion: I left full, happy, and slightly shiny from the grease. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I risk getting BBQ slapped again? Every single time.

The ribs were extremely dry. They looked like they were overcooked. The wings were great and the bbq sauce was fantastic though.

It was my first time going here and I went here because of their reputation. However, I am hoping this was a one time bad day for them. I want to try their ribs again soon.

I hadn't been here in a while so I stopped in for takeout. The lady at the bar was very nice when taking my order. After not too much of a wait, I got to drive home with the most delicious smell in my car.

Well, the good BBQ and sides haven't changed. Still delicious!

A friend recommended I try Buz and Ned’s Real Barbecue and now I highly recommend as well! They have fast and great service with delicious food. I had the ribs, potato salad, and fried okra plus the cornbread. EVERYTHING was delicious! I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Visiting from out of state, Buz and Ned's in Richmond was a hit! The food was really good. I enjoyed the southern-style mac and cheese, but the corn on the cob —seriously one of the best I've ever had. Hubs was in heaven with the jumbo BBQ ribs. Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious, authentic BBQ while visiting Richmond.

4.5 is actually a better rating. The Brunswick Stew was incredibly tasty, but I got a fair amount of fat in mine. I ate at the bar and the young lady bartender was very cool.

Great place to eat. Victoria great waitress. Buzz now 72 years old. It is ashamed Buzz & Ned is for sale. Will be a big loss to Henrico County when it sells.

Suuuuuper good food, really amazing interior with the esthetic they were going for and NAILED! It has a look of a old, rusty, run down barn with old vehicle parts and big industrial fans with a BEAUTIFUL reclaimed floor and bar.
If you've been to any hometown southern BBQ place they nailed that vibe in the best way. It looks like the inside of a barn taking you completely to the environment the food they serve comes from. If im eating a full rack of beef ribs (wich I can, and will, recommend you try), I don't want to be in a white tabled, candle light dinner with a guy in a tux serving me, not usually at least.
The food was amazing, we tried the beef ribs, a brisket sandwich, and some coleslaw and fries. All of which I can absolutely recommend. Will definitely be back again and again. They have a really good deal with decent prices or go a bit on the pricier end, not for its class, just again... a full rack of beef ribs, you're GONNA be paying a decent bit but it is absolutely worth it. And if you don't want that much, or don't want to spend that much they offer meals or just get a sandwich itself, or even split a rack between 2 people! Good pricing for alcohol as well, standard what you'd expect at any decent bar 8-12$ per cocktail and really good rotating happy hour deals making their fairly priced drinks into really good priced drinks.
Definitely give them a try, I will definitely be back and recommending them to others in the future!
