“There’s rust on the buffets, the food was room temperature and the bathrooms look like they haven’t been cleaned in years. There is so much build up on the faucets and there is dried human waste smeared in the stalls. I left an entire plate of food sitting there because there was no way I was eating food prepared there after I saw the conditions presented to the public. I don’t even want to think about what the kitchen looks like.”

“I held my final Board Meeting of the year at Bartizan the first week of December. I asked that the room be festive and cozy and they knocked it out of the park. The food was delicious with many of my members saying it was the best steak they had ever eaten! Although all of this was great, the best part of the event was the team and staff I worked with to plan the meeting. My Board is still talking about the meeting and how great it was and trust me, that doesn't happen often!”

“We did not make reservations, and the hostess worked with us and accommodated our party of five. I did not expect this since it was Mother’s Day. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Three of us ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached. Two in our party ordered the crab omelette and the lobster BLT. Both my mother and father-in-law said that their meals were excellent. I highly recommend the cocktail the bubbly fizz. We certainly will be returning.”

“I have wanted to partake in dining at this restaurant and the food looked delish. My experience met my expectations after I had pork belly, blackened catfish and mashed potatoes. I wanted to order the collards but not with tomatoes. I have eaten collards all over the South and have not seen tomatoes..Yikes!!!

The pork belly was tasty but smothered in BBQ sauce which the manager noticed so wasn't happy. My server, Hannah was friendly and helpful with her input.

My biggest negative was the 20% gratuity automatically added to the bill. There's another breakfast gem in RVA which also does the 20% so not a big fan. If the service is good, it's not an issue but when it is subpar, it's not fair to the customer imo.

I am on the fence about a return visit when I will probably return in February.”

Tiger lager is excellent. It's the Sichuan equivalent of a Cantonese place like Full Kee in terms of quality, execution and flavor.”

“The restaurant was recommended to us in the hotel because it was within walking distance. We weren't disappointed. We were there for dinner 2 nights in a row. BJ's offers a good selection of food and drinks - especially the many types of beer. We really enjoyed the food on both days. We also had no problems due to a lack of staff. The service was quick and good. We have special memories of the first evening - we had a very friendly waitress with whom we were able to have a nice conversation. Unfortunately I forgot the name. The waiter on the second evening was also friendly and quick. I can only recommend BJ's if you want to eat well and not just fast food.”

Welcomed in, no pressure to order & I asked to try a variety of sauces/rubs with fresh af fries. Ordered the smoked wings with garlic buffalo & boneless wings with lemon pep buffalo, which both flavors were delicious! All the recipes come from their employees which was such an awesome concept. Turn around time from ordering was about 10 min & the food was steaming when it came out. Both bleu cheese & ranch were delicious, the smoked flavor of the wings elevated the sauce flavors. The boneless wings were good sized, not overwhelmed with breading, & 10 were quite filling. The fries were so crispy and delicious, just peep your teeth after as there's seeds sprinkled on them. The customer service was excellent, made you feel welcomed, & positive vibes! The decor & music also matches the funky upbeat vibe. Only down side is the floor is a tad sticky but I feel that's slightly expected with a wing place. Don't let that deter you. 10/10 would recommend! Would totally go back to try one of their sandwiches or something else on the menu or get the wings again!”

SUPER QUICK service. However, napkins are thin, but BAGELS are wonderfully tasty with the non-dry chewy centers and crispy/shiny NY Crust you're looking for. They cut it in half before packing it in parchment paper into a brown bag with a few napkins. Ask for more napkins as the stuffing is a decent amount. You're bound to get some on your lips & fingers and steering wheel... lol... definitely returning again and again. Sorry, no picture. I didn't have my hands clean to take a photo... I forgot to ask for more napkins, and I was eating it so fast... nom nom nom... lol...

Vegetarian options: They cut all bagels with the same knife. So, not for the Vegans in the neighborhood.”

We didn't realize it was a drive up, but there were convenient picnic tables set up and the weather was beautiful so a bbq picnic it was. Today was our last night living here so we had to enjoy it with Mi Jalisco one last time. Not only is the food delicious.. their portions are so big and the staff is the absolute best. The service is incredible. We became regulars and saw how much other regulars enjoyed their food, the atmosphere and the staff. We frequented the Ridgefield location(?) off of John Rolfe Parkway. Thank you to Martin, Jesus., Modesto, and the rest of the crew for making us feel at home when we were so far away from family. Slipping and falling while turning the corner to the restrooms was not how I expected to end the visit. While attempting to get up, noticed entirely too much water left on the floor (same as in restroom), and NO "wet floor" signage placed. I alerted a staff member of what happened and that signage needs to be up. Staff needs to ensure to NOT leave excessive water when mopping and throw up signs.”

We had the pad Thai and fish and chips with the haddock. Best F&C I've had. The fish was cooked perfectly, the batter was light and crisp. The pad Thai was top notch as well. My wife likes it so much we are taking my mother-in-law back when she visits from Michigan.”

“I was visit my parents and walked through our neighborhood to get some local coffee and breakfast on a Sunday morning. While I couldn’t sit/order inside because of the dogs, the barista was more than accommodating to take my order from their outdoor seating and bring me my food and drink. I don’t think it was on the menu but I ordered and espresso soda (espresso, club soda, vanilla syrup) and the barista was once again very accommodating and made it no problem. It was super good! I also ordered an egg and cheese on an English muffin which was delicious. Seemed like white cheddar and a soft fried egg. Would highly recommend this local place! I also appreciated how early they were open on a Sunday morning. I paid about $11 before tipping.”

“Habanero Mexican Grill has been my go-to spot for authentic Mexican food for several years now, and it consistently delivers when it comes to bold, flavorful dishes. The food here is absolutely delicious, with rich, vibrant flavors that make each meal feel like a true taste of Mexico. Whether it’s their tacos, burritos, or one of their specialty plates, you can always expect a meal that’s bursting with authentic taste. The fresh ingredients and traditional recipes have always been a huge draw for me.

However, over time, I’ve noticed a few changes that have slightly impacted my overall experience. One issue is that there can sometimes be a language barrier when placing orders, as not all of the staff are fluent in English. This has led to a few mix-ups with my order on occasion. Additionally, I’ve observed a subtle decline in the quality of the food lately. While it’s still good, it’s not quite at the same exceptional level it once was.

Despite these minor issues, I continue to frequent Habanero Mexican Grill because the food remains some of the best Mexican in town. I hope they address these concerns so that they can restore the consistently high quality that originally won me over.”

“My 5 year old son gets a pizza craving every 2 months or so. This is our go to spot. The staff is always personable and happy to fulfill any request.

My issue was with the half spaghetti pizza we ordered. It arrived hot but it had NO flavor whatsoever. My son took one bite and made a face. I dipped it in ranch dressing so not to let it go to waste.

The bathroom could have been cleaner. I'll never understand customers who can't walk a few feet to put their trash and plates i in the correct place.”
