“"I recently dined at Shawarma Bistro and it was an absolute delight! The flavors of the Mediterranean cuisine truly shined through in every bite. The shawarma was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, leaving me craving for more. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing meal with friends or family. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend Shawarma Bistro to anyone.“
“A Richmond institution. I remember coming here as a kid, and now that I'm back in the city I've really enjoyed getting to come back and done here again.Pizzas are amazing, their dolamdes are fantastic, and I really love the falafel pita.“
“Went here for a healthy dinner with friends. My sister had been once and said it's great for variety. Almost like a Mediterranean Chipotle where you proceed down the line and ask them to fill up your bowl. I got a Falafel bowl absolutely loaded with various toppings including brown rice, cucumbers, baba ganoush, lebanese tabbouleh, pickled beets & pickled onions, and sumac cucumbers. There were a lot of sauce options to get on the side too so I went with taziki and s'hug. The workers had warned me that the s'hug was very spicy but maybe my spice tolerance has gone up? Didn't struggle at all! Everything was super fresh. Will be back!“
“I very much enjoyed the experience at Uliveto. The service and ambience were warm and inviting. As for the food, I enjoyed the olive bread and octopus special. Though I would have preferred the olive bread served warm. They reminded me of my many culinary experiences in Europe. However the portion and presentation when it came to the flounder entree was poor. The portion size was much too large and the presentation needed work. I thought the fish was cooked well. I think this restaurant has the opportunity to become a staple in the community. My hope is the menu options are decreased by half or more. A focus on a few dishes that are executed on well in taste, portion, and appearance would not only help customers avoid decision fatigue when choosing their meal, but would ensure consistent quality of food. Having a smaller menu would also help keep costs down by helping the restaurant have less food inventory which should ensure ingredients are consistently fresh. I would also consider having a separate wine bottle menu that is offered on request, while shifting wine by the glass to the cocktail menu.“
“First time here and the food, drinks and service were great! Definitely will be back! Finding parking was a little challenge, but definitely worth it. We had the grilled calamari, cauliflower and scallops and shrimp. Delicious!!! Highly recommend!!“
“Went here for a work lunch. The atmosphere was fantastic. Smooth lunch crowd with surrounding customers who were pleasant and looked like they were enjoying their time. The gyro lamb Philly sandwich was a culinary treat. First time I had one. Our waitress was on top of things while at the same time staying on point as she knew it was a work lunch for 4. She got us in. She got us fed. She kept our waters filled. She was quick about coming with a to-go tray cuz trust me, their serving size for lunch is no joke. You're getting a full plate for your money.“
“Pinky's is fabulous!Highlights:- Refreshing menu selection.- Excellent customer service.- Plenty of N/A bar options.- Beautiful, open layout in the dining room.Everything we ordered was great but I particularly enjoyed the Octopus and the Beet Salad.Highly recommend!“
“What a trip to flavor country. Let me start with the service.Nadine was polite and gave us great advice on what was best to order. We had our drinks filled more often than a sailor swears. The restaurant was cleaner than one would expect in rva, somehow they’re winning the war against the general historic Richmond atmosphere. It was appetizing to find no fault nor splash of errant sauce on any surface. But on to the best part because one should be succinct if anything when leaving a review: the food had a balanced level of seasoning, setting off complimentary flavor like firecrackers in one’s mouth, quickly tamed by sweet garlic cream sauce and elevated by the savory spoonful of saffron rice nestled timelyin between other bites. Prepare an Uber. They don’t serve alcohol that I observed but I left with a food coma more powerful than any three shots of quality Irish whiskey. This was a good time. And now, I will sleep off the metric ton of various meats I have devoured.Bee tea dubs, the family meal was an affordable way of gaining 3 lbs in a day and it was worth it.Yum.“
“Happened upon Sahara on a Sunday (en route to the Hippodrome for an event).. walked in - it was empty and quiet, but Mariam (owner) came out and welcomed us. So glad we stayed! Delicious food, including complimentary lentil soup and a delicate spice tea!“
“I was just there today with a group of girls. There were about 15/16 of us and the staff there was amazing! The guy was very helpful & friendly. He got us in & out quickly as their line starting getting long. Seems they were understaffed as he went from the food to the kitchen. The girl next to him was very helpful & pleasant too. Thank you all for your patience & help with the bowl! It was yummy“
“Perfect place for our wedding! The event coordinator and staff were wonder and everything went so smoothly. Beautiful place for pictures and the food was spectacular. I would do the night all over again at Quirk! Thank you to Liz, Scott, Nicole & other staff members :)Dietary restrictions: Gluten free & vegetarian options“
“We had our 20 year alumni event for about 24 people with dinner, drinks, and dessert. Melissa was super responsive to questions and alterations for the event and the food and service were awesome when we attended. The 2 servers did an excellent job.“
“This is our 4th time at this family owned authentic Iraqi restaurant. The delicious mouth watering food and great customer service is what brings us back every time we are in the area. The restaurant is small and meant to be a to go place, not a sit and eat type of restaurant. Also, they offer a small selection of authentic Iraqi/Middle Eastern goods.Vegetarian options: Small vegetarian selections.Parking: Public parking.“
