“Menu choice was consistent as in past visits, however this visit was a bit disappointing overall. Slipping and falling while turning the corner to the restrooms was not how I expected to end the visit. While attempting to get up, noticed entirely too much water left on the floor (same as in restroom), and NO "wet floor" signage placed. I alerted a staff member of what happened and that signage needs to be up. Staff needs to ensure to NOT leave excessive water when mopping and throw up signs.“

“This place has a great atmosphere and the staff is wonderful. We were just driving through Richmond and decided to stop here for a bite. My husband had the brisket sandwich which he said was fantastic. I had the trainwrek that was so large and outstanding I couldn’t finish it and have leftovers. The food is fresh and has exquisite flavor! If I’m ever in Richmond again I will be returning.“

“Well researched food, solidly composed cocktails, and a warm interior make The Roosevelt one of the most talked about restaurants in RVA currently. Chef Leah is as much a researcher as she is a good chef. Being a long time food writer who has been on assignment in many kitchens, its no surprise to me that Leah has carved out a reputation for herself in Richmond recently. She sources a lot from local farmers, adheres often to seasonal common sense, and takes inspiration from her reading and research on Soul Food, Southern food, and Virginia food. I wouldn't classify prices at The Roosevelt as cheap but also wouldn't classify them as extravagant either. Marketed by many as a "neighborhood spot" I always see The Roosevelt as a great date night spot, particularly for those who might fancy themselves foodies. Congrats to Leah and The Roosevelt on their recent James Beard nod. In my opinion, well deserved.“

“This was my second experience at L'Opossum, just as the first - it was absolutely incredible. The food, service, & ambiance were outstanding. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to take my husband and father there as a birthday present. They both have been raving about it since.“

“I supprised my wife and took her for a early dinner on Sunday, September 6th, 2027. We had a 2:15 pm reservation, but arrived about 1:50 and were greated very warmly by one of the host. We we seated promptly in about the center of the room. And although the table wobbled a bit, we were ok. Our server, David appoligized because he had not greated us immediately but the place was very busy. We ordered three appitizers, buffalo shrimp, Tia Chili shrimp with the sauce on the side and corn bread cakes. Well. We should have and could have stopped right there because we received the largest, perfectly prepared shrimp that were served hot! They were magnificent!!!. The conrbread was to die for. We we had to do more so I ordered the fried smothered porkchops with mack and cheese, steweed tomatoes and french fries (why did I do that). My wife ordered the chicken liver and onions, collards and candied yams and we spean the rest of the meal eating off each others plates it was so good!. But we both had to tap out because we were stuffed. But did I stop their? No way, I ordered the half roasted chicken with two sides to go as well because I knew my wife would be hungry later that evening and would raid my plate and I wanted to enjoy the food one more time later that evening. I said all this because I pray that everyone has such a wonderful experience that I did. Also the staff really look out for one another and I really appreciated the diversity in the workers in the restaurant as well. Thanks Southern Kitchen we will be back.“

“Absolutely wonderful customer service, I have honestly never had a better dining experience. The food is delicious and everything is very clean, even the bathrooms and as a momma I definitely appreciate how clean they keep everything especially the changing table!! “I waited all week to get a meal from Mama J ! I was very disappointed, my order was wrong no corn muffin ,got cabbage when I order collar greens. Waitress wrote collardgreens on my order but someone didn't read and gave me cabbage. Also gave me a teaspoon of potato salad .I came from Chesterfield to be disappointed. A 40.00 meal 0“

“Definitely 5 stars! Me and my daughter went for brunch, a pitcher of Mimosas and the best breakfast I've ever had. My daughter ordered the biscuits and gravy. They were so good, almost like a she-crab bisque flavor gravy-absolutely wonderful. I ordered the chicken biscuit, was also wonderful, the hot honey with the fresh homemade Bisquit was so flavorful. No wait to be seated, the waitstaff was very friendly. Definitely recommend and definitely will go back!“

“Went here for date night and let me say ba-bee!!!! The food here is EVERYTHING!!! The vibe is amazing !!!! The drinks are BANGING!!! The music is ON POINT!!! It’s more of a mature vibe and the staff is AWESOME!!!! I love it here!!! I recommend to dine here, you won’t be disappointed!!!!“

“Isabella who is was very attentive to my every need. She was detailed asked questions regarding my food choices and even carried on a conversation with my daughter after I had paid for my meal. The bar was loud which was ok and I ordered an old fashion which tasted like dirty water and fruit. Yuck. My meal was very very good , was even good late the same evening. Had catfish bites Friedan’s Caesar salad to wash down a Coca-Cola. Great spot - good food- and the staff is amazing. Thanks for making this trip worry free for food/coke“

“The food is always good but prices have gone up.
You actually get allot of food.
The only downside is it's an establishment where you have outside seating/your car.
It's best to stay near the window so you can hear your name being called on the intercom.“
“Buffet was excellent with especially delicious fluffy pancakes and maple syrup. Setting was nice with plenty of space to celebrate Mother's Day with our family. Service was good with friendly staff. I would return if ever back in Richmond.“

“My Sister in law and I went to the Restaurant for lunch, Reggie (the owner) and Eric welcome us with open arms. The food (a lot..I took some home) was amazing. Reggie gave us a tour of all the amazing people that visited the Restaurant. We will be back, thanks Reggie for your awesome hospitality.“
“Crabcake was well prepared, mainly lump crab meat, little filler. Cole slaw was much better than average. Peanut soup is not my favorite but was willing to give it a try. Too salty. Shrimp and grits were good along with the andouille sausage. Have been to the Jefferson Hotel before but wanted to go this year to see the Christmas decorations. Recommend it. The Gingerbread House scene was great including the scent of the spices.“

“I had a great experience at Bojangles! I bring my kids here from time to time, and they always enjoy the kids' chicken tender meals. The food was fresh, and the customer service was excellent. The young lady at the register was very polite, respectful, and professional. I didn't catch her name, but she made our visit a pleasant one. It's always nice to be greeted with a smile and great service. My kids enjoyed their food, and we'll definitely be back. Keep up the great work! 😊🍗❤“

“Oh my goodness, if you're ever in Richmond, you have to stop here! The food was amazing. The peach cobbler French toast was to die for and the Fish and Grits was so freaking good. The food, including the bacon and eggs tasted like it literally left the farm to my table. Some of the freshest and best brunch I've had in a long time!“
