“Menu choice was consistent as in past visits, however this visit was a bit disappointing overall. Slipping and falling while turning the corner to the restrooms was not how I expected to end the visit. While attempting to get up, noticed entirely too much water left on the floor (same as in restroom), and NO "wet floor" signage placed. I alerted a staff member of what happened and that signage needs to be up. Staff needs to ensure to NOT leave excessive water when mopping and throw up signs.“

“This place has a great atmosphere and the staff is wonderful. We were just driving through Richmond and decided to stop here for a bite. My husband had the brisket sandwich which he said was fantastic. I had the trainwrek that was so large and outstanding I couldn’t finish it and have leftovers. The food is fresh and has exquisite flavor! If I’m ever in Richmond again I will be returning.“

“Absolutely wonderful customer service, I have honestly never had a better dining experience. The food is delicious and everything is very clean, even the bathrooms and as a momma I definitely appreciate how clean they keep everything especially the changing table!! “Well researched food, solidly composed cocktails, and a warm interior make The Roosevelt one of the most talked about restaurants in RVA currently. Chef Leah is as much a researcher as she is a good chef. Being a long time food writer who has been on assignment in many kitchens, its no surprise to me that Leah has carved out a reputation for herself in Richmond recently. She sources a lot from local farmers, adheres often to seasonal common sense, and takes inspiration from her reading and research on Soul Food, Southern food, and Virginia food. I wouldn't classify prices at The Roosevelt as cheap but also wouldn't classify them as extravagant either. Marketed by many as a "neighborhood spot" I always see The Roosevelt as a great date night spot, particularly for those who might fancy themselves foodies. Congrats to Leah and The Roosevelt on their recent James Beard nod. In my opinion, well deserved.“

“The atmosphere has a relaxed feel with seating at the bar, tables, and hightops. Our group of seven had no trouble getting tables for a Friday evening Social hour. Maddie provided us with great service throughout the evening. Drinks, food, and water refills were right on-time.“

“I went to Southern Kitchen tonight for the first time. I saw this restaurant on U-Tube for the top 10 black owned restaurants. And yes, this restaurant deserves it!👏🏽Everything was on point! The flavor of the food, the service, and the atmosphere!👌🏾 I'm definitely going back!“

“My dinner here was the most memorable and unique dining experience I’ve had in a very long time and it was the highlight of my weekend visit. If I lived in the RVA area I would be a regular here! Love the campy decor, drinks, and eccentric clientele. Reminds me of a few long gone places we used to frequent along Brooklyn’s outer edge.“

“I waited all week to get a meal from Mama J ! I was very disappointed, my order was wrong no corn muffin ,got cabbage when I order collar greens. Waitress wrote collardgreens on my order but someone didn't read and gave me cabbage. Also gave me a teaspoon of potato salad .I came from Chesterfield to be disappointed. A 40.00 meal 0“

“Isabella who is was very attentive to my every need. She was detailed asked questions regarding my food choices and even carried on a conversation with my daughter after I had paid for my meal. The bar was loud which was ok and I ordered an old fashion which tasted like dirty water and fruit. Yuck. My meal was very very good , was even good late the same evening. Had catfish bites Friedan’s Caesar salad to wash down a Coca-Cola. Great spot - good food- and the staff is amazing. Thanks for making this trip worry free for food/coke“

“Definitely 5 stars! Me and my daughter went for brunch, a pitcher of Mimosas and the best breakfast I've ever had. My daughter ordered the biscuits and gravy. They were so good, almost like a she-crab bisque flavor gravy-absolutely wonderful. I ordered the chicken biscuit, was also wonderful, the hot honey with the fresh homemade Bisquit was so flavorful. No wait to be seated, the waitstaff was very friendly. Definitely recommend and definitely will go back!“

“My first time today eating at The Honey Drizzle At The Rivière. I will definitely go back! The pancakes were delicious! I saw so many other items I would love to try. The servers are great and so was the DJ! Give it a try!!“
“Came here for the Sunday brunch and to celebrate auntie’s birthday. The decor and ambiance of this hotel is stellar, so if it’s your first time, you feel like you're having a state dinner with international dignitaries. I like how the food and live chefs is setup on the perimeter and seating is in the middle with the fruit/dessert table. Constant refills of juice, water and champagne. Our original server was great until one of my fam was asking about something particular and he all of a sudden had no smiles and was very kirt with his service. Just a a stone face demeanor. Something wasn’t right and he stayed that way, so fam went and looked for the manager and reported him. Next server was excellent and had answers for everything. I won’t list off every dish we had, but I’ll tell you what was best imo: The Rockfish, The garbanzo stew with rice, the Prime Rib, the asparagus with cauliflower and then the ultimate winner was a side dish: The Jefferson Spoon Bread…..whoever came up with that masterpiece is bussin! It’s like cornbread but with cream or cheese and some honey maybe. OMG I couldn’t stop going back for more.
Their ice cream (Mousse?) and fruit surprise for the birthday girl was stellar too. I love real ice cream from scratch.
This is a must try. Even though I’m really not a fan of buffet style because of the dangers of bacteria and germs, the food made me forget about everything. Excellent place.“

“I had a great experience at Bojangles! I bring my kids here from time to time, and they always enjoy the kids' chicken tender meals. The food was fresh, and the customer service was excellent. The young lady at the register was very polite, respectful, and professional. I didn't catch her name, but she made our visit a pleasant one. It's always nice to be greeted with a smile and great service. My kids enjoyed their food, and we'll definitely be back. Keep up the great work! 😊🍗❤“

“My brother and I went here a week ago for brunch and our experience was simply amazing! Our server Javon (spelling may be wrong) was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food upon arrival was scrumptious! Plated well, very nice portion size and no additional salt or pepper needed! The music was even great! We lingered a bit after we closed our bill vibing to the music. When our family link together in this area, we will be visiting Farm and Oak. I highly recommend this restaurant and ask for Javon (sp)!“
