My dinner here was the most memorable and unique dining experience I’ve had in a very long time and it was the highlight of my weekend visit. If I lived in the RVA area I would be a regular here! Love the campy decor, drinks, and eccentric clientele. Reminds me of a few long gone places we used to frequent along Brooklyn’s outer edge.
What an amazing restaurant experience!!!! The service was amazing, the timing between seating, ordering & different courses was exceptional. The cocktails and the food were prepared above expectations and tasted amazing. We have travelled the world and this maybe one of the best restaurants we have ever enjoyed!!!
This is one of the greatest restaurants I've ever been to! This is my third time here and I can't wait to come back again. Everything is spectacular.

The restaurant has a dark, vintage, smoky speakeasy vibe, making it a unique place to enjoy a meal or drinks. The staff is well prepared and runs smoothly, with attentive service that is second to none. The creative menu features dishes crafted by someone who loves the alchemy of flavors, including the Beef Swellington, which is off the chart with its exceptional flavor and tenderness, and the Halibut, beautifully married with fennel, orange and a few surprise spices. The entrées are cooked perfectly and dessert is wonderful. The wine list is divine as is the cocktail list. Reservations are recommended due to the restaurant's popularity, but the experience is always worth the wait. With its creative culinary twists and elegant ambiance, L'Opossum is a memorable destination that leaves a lasting impression, perfect for any special occasion.
