“Had to make a stop downtown for business and grabbed an early dinner right before Christmas. It was our first time trying this spot. It was so wonderful, the food, the server, atmosphere and the creative creation when I asked for one of their signature cocktails to be hot vs iced. Happy new year and here’s to wonderful food and company!“

The food overall was pretty good, my friend is a big fan of their broccoli but for me nothing stood out to me. Its a very Richmond hipster restaurant with taking elements from different cultures but with their own twist. The dessert however was great and the staff is wonderful so it makes me sad to see disrespectful costumers.“

“It's no secret that Southbound has great food. Everyone in Bon Air and beyond knows. It's Bon Air's treasure. But, you may be asking yourself, is it worth the price? I don't like to spend a lot of $$ on going out to eat, so I was reluctant, but a couple of things stood out to me. 1) the atmosphere. It feels like a cozy cafe in Europe in there. I could hang out for HOURS 2) the food really does live up to the price but BONUS 3) the owner of the restaurant is a GOOD PERSON and that means a lot to me. He is a hard-working family man right here in our community. We all know the restaurant business is NOT EASY and so I'm happy and proud to support a non-chain who does this because it's his passion.“

Marvin the waiter was fantastic- very efficient, personable, and made multiple recommendations on food options that made the meal and the experience excellent. If we come back through the Richmond airport, we will definitely stop here again.“

“While this place suffers from having downtown Richmond prices (everything being $1-3 more than you would expect), Capitol Waffle is one of the few places where the quality is worth the price hike. The waffles and tenders are fresh, and I especially enjoy the breakfast options -- I'm an average eater, so the half waffle options are more than enough. Most surprisingly however, the coffee and espresso drinks at Capitol Waffle are INCREDIBLY good. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, so I was shocked when the coffee stood up to my pretentious tastes. This is now my go to coffee place over the nearby Dunkin/Starbucks, and the price is very reasonable.“

Full disclosure we only go to all ages shows. I'm well past my concert prime but my kids are just hitting theirs. The Canal Club is great. I grab a booth in the back while they enjoy the show. Security is SUPER awesome about not letting kids go in and out without an adult so we don't have to helicopter over them the entire show. Food and drinks are way more affordable then I expected and it's good fast order food.“

Our waiter was very attentive, owner frequently circling tables checking on everything, it's always awesome. We were reflecting on our Top10 RVA restaurants and AcaciaMidtown is always in the mix - RVA's a foodie town, this place is a gem, it's a solid 4.75 so I'm rounding up.“

“Fun atmosphere. Happy hour actually starts at 2pm M-F. My club sandwich was huge. Fries were tasty. My friend got the smoky BLT and garlicky green beans. She definitely scored with the green beans. Delicious. The server was attentive. Parking was a challenge, but it's a congested area so it was to be expected. I'll definitely go back.“

“Stopped here for dinner while visiting Richmond to attend Latin Mass at the FSSP. Melito’s has a welcoming family atmosphere with good American fare affordable priced. Their specialty is Hot Dogs! But we had burgers and those were pretty good. Served on real plates (vs baskets). Frequented by locals - especially seniors, but all ages as well. Pleasant staff/servers and clientele alike! We will definitely return next time we’re in the area.“

“The food is served at stations, buffet style and there is always friendly staff on hand to assist or answer any questions. The menu changes at each meal, but is posted on their website one week at a time so you can get an idea of what's being served. They always have some vegan and gluten free selections available, as well as a comfort food station and the bakery. All-you-care-to-eat at a reasonable price! When I posted this, I stopped by the dining hall for lunch and I chose the flank steak, baked mac and cheese, grilled broccoli, and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream for dessert.“

“Big Herms oyster poor boy sandwich was the best I have had in years. Combine that with the delicious cornbread and collard greens and we had an over the top lunch. Don’t be put off because the chairs and tables don’t match. This place is all about the quality of food and friendly folks that make it. So lucky this is right around the corner from my daughter’s house. Can’t wait to come back. Note Big Herms is not open on weekends.“

“The atmosphere upon arrival was awesome. The rest of the stay, I cannot say the same. The game overall was great for first timers. Although our waiter was less than satisfactory. He asked us if we had been there before and we stated no. He then proceeded to ask for our orders on drinks and didn't even take time to explain how things worked. He came to our table about 4 times total and one of those times was to tell us that our time was up. He then proceeded to tell us that it was our fault and something would've came up on our screen. Which was not the case. Would recommend this place again, although I hope the next time is a much better experience. Btw ...make sure you're not in the booth 329...that's two high tops and not a lounge. Also, explore your options with wait staff, Jason was sweet but he was too distracted and was not a great listener.“

The staff is exceptionally willing to accommodate special requests, and we really appreciate that! All of our food and drinks were wonderfully prepared and tasted great!
