“Visiting VA & was trying to find a nice chill bar to have drinks. We ended up here—atmosphere is very dim/jungle themed, played alternative/disco music at a moderate volume, drinks were also great as well as the service! We had the Espresso Martini and Mental Gymnastics. I highly recommend if you are trying to find a hidden gem bar. Parking can be hard to find but we found street parking and walked over to the bar.“

It is evident that the staff are well trained and attentive and the head chef is a genius. I plan to come back here again for sure“

“Came in before a show at the Camel. Service was wonderful. Amongst myself and company we tried the oysters, fish chowder, chicken wings, trout de florentine (sp?), and three of the cocktails which I forget the names of but they were delicious. Lovely experience and bartenders were especially hospitable (we sat at the bar).

Def plan to return. Oysters were great. Very few places in town have actual choices in selection.

Parking: Not sure about designated parking. Found some street parking within a block or so.“

“this right here is the place to be good music best djs the staff was very professional and shout to the security guard at the front entrance for being very professional and nice but still held it down the atmosphere is so classy and shout out to the dj in the library always play the classics the food is on point and drinks a must place to visit and get your party on and shout out to host on the mic you have put Richmond back on the map once again I always enjoy myself and friends when we are at your HOFHEIMER and last to the mangers that keep it real and do interact with everyone .“

“Last minute flight delay allowed us to grab dinner here. The menu was filled with very enticing options. We are adults 🤣, so we made our own rules and ordered a bunch of the small plates to share. It was such a great decision. Hands down favorite the Lemon Pepper Feta, I could have eaten three plates of this and been content. The Sweet Tea Watermelon was also amazing! Cocktails were delicious and perfect for the season. My only regret was not having time for dessert. Definitely worth a visit and don't be afraid to take advantage of the small plate options! ❤“

“There is a saying a ruined shoe in the dessert is gold. This place is the only kosher place plus another in entire VA and West Virginia. Very friendly atmosphere. “What an unexpected culinary treat. We wanted to try out Mantu after reading a favorable article about it in the RTD a few months ago. We belong to a gourmet group and I can't wait to bring them back with me to this delightful restaurant. Our dumpling appetizer of an encrusted whole egg was subtle, different, and enjoyable. Our main course kebabs were nothing like meat and veggies on a skewer, there were no skewers in sight just wonderfully grilled, tender, and amazingly flavored lamb and vegetables. Our desserts of custard with fruit and a very imaginative take on baklava were a perfect close to the meal. In the end, it was the remarkable and very different use of unusual spice combinations, together with a friendly and engaged staff and chef that will guarantee our early return. P.S. the Afghan cuisine, if you have never experienced it, is quite different from the cuisine of India and Nepal.“

“I ordered from DoorDash. I got a Chorizo Breakfast Burrito. It was not bad. I was just really missing some red hot sauce. It's very filling and easily two meals. I didn't expect whole beans, but didn't mind it.The grilled scallions were huge! It was just missing some lime.Nothing major stood out.“

One day we went to Latitude Seafood Co at Stony Point Fashion Park and they were super busy and it was pretty loud that day. (I have a review for there too) Anyway, we decided to try Eggspectation since it was right across the way in walking distance. We were so glad we tried something new!! Our waitress was wonderful, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean, and our food was absolutely delicious!! We have now put this place in our rotation of restaurants! While they also have outdoor seating, we have yet to sit outside. The inside is really cute and comfortable and the menu has a good selection for everyone. Don't pass up on walking through Stony Point either. Several other restaurants and stores are located there. But this particular place should most definitely be on your "must try" list! It's so good!!“

“I took my mother to the Byrdhouse rooftop bar for her birthday and my experience was amazing, mainly due to the perfect service and personality of the bartender named Aidan. His drinks were amazing and he was very attentive. And that doesn’t even go to mention the amazing view and great food. This place was a complete vibe and I will be coming back with my friends. I got the pimento cheese with pork rinds, hummus, and shrimp tacos. All were amazing. Only suggestion is the salsa on the tacos should be a little thicker and add a little more, but the taste was still really good. I dont understand how this place doesn’t have higher ratings. My experience couldnt be better. Thanks Aidan for making my mothers birthday special!!!“
