“Absolutely friendly and wonderful staff, great food, and we witnessed a moment of humanity and kindness from a staff member I assume is the manager toward a woman who came in after us that nearly made me cry. The food is great and that’s reason enough to go back, but their mission of community support and visible and heartfelt recognition of the humanity of others in our community will have us going back again and again. Cannot wait to return! 15/10.“

“This place has a great atmosphere and the staff is wonderful. We were just driving through Richmond and decided to stop here for a bite. My husband had the brisket sandwich which he said was fantastic. I had the trainwrek that was so large and outstanding I couldn’t finish it and have leftovers. The food is fresh and has exquisite flavor! If I’m ever in Richmond again I will be returning.“

“I came here on a Monday evening at 6:30 PM with four of my colleagues. We sat outside, which was fine with the weather and it was also the only table they had available for four people with a week notice. I tried to change my reservation and add more people, but when I called on a Monday, they unfortunately are not open. However they did return my call the next day which is super rare. The inside looks really nice. My colleague was at the bar having cocktails and loved their cocktail list. I got the social butterfly and it was delicious and beautiful, with gin, vermouth maraschino liqueur and Thai basil, but you really don’t taste the basil which is good thing for me. We ordered the bread with butter and the smorgasbord of cheese and meat. It was so good. I can’t explain it but it was not your ordinary meats and cheeses with prosciutto and brie and manchego. I split the duck and the Bucatini with my colleague, both were very delicious and then we all shared the profiteroles and pear spice cake, which was amazing as well. I will say the menu changes often because now that I’m looking at the website a week later my dishes are no longer there. But I don’t deny that anything that is on their menu is very good. My colleague got the steak and my other colleague got a different pasta and everyone loved their dishes.“

“We had a private dinner served to us by the 2 partners of Tulsi. They came to Vinnie and Rebecca’s beautiful yard and gave us a cooking experience we will all never forget. They cooked up some speciality meals that were perfect. Chicken, fresh vegetables from the gardens, very spicy mushrooms and of course nam . Everything was perfect! Please go to Tulsi and tell them we sent you!!“

“I got the fish sandwich and it was hot and fresh. However, the lettuce was wilted and I am not a personal fan of shoestring fries because the get cold and limp to quickly. It was strange to find no Samuel Adams beers on tap at a Sanuel Adams establishments.
My server, Tabbi, was friendly and attentive she even took the opportunity to help me before the pushy customer that came in after me.
The music was a bit loud and only ESPN on all screens. I guess that's the usual for an airport bar.“

“Absolutely Phenomenal! We cannot thank the team at Grapevine enough for making our wedding day absolutely perfect. From start to finish, they went above and beyond in every single way, and we are so incredibly grateful. The food was absolutely delicious! We received countless compliments from our guests, but what they raved about just as much was the staff. Our guests could not stop talking about how incredibly nice, helpful, and amazing the servers and bartenders were. They brought such a warm, positive energy to our celebration and made sure everyone was taken care of. What blew us away even more was their incredible work ethic. Despite traveling 2 to 3 hours to get to our venue, the team arrived right on time and hit the ground running. When the night ended, they didn't just pack up and leave—they stayed to help with the cleanup. They left the kitchen absolutely spotless and made sure all the trash was taken out before they departed. If you are looking for a caterer that delivers stellar food, immaculate service, and a team that genuinely cares about making your day seamless, look no further than Grapevine. They are worth every single penny and more! A massive, heartfelt thank you to Rita, who helped us every single step of the way. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Rita’s guidance, patience, and organization kept us at ease. She is truly a gem, and we couldn't have done this without her!“

“My dinner here was the most memorable and unique dining experience I’ve had in a very long time and it was the highlight of my weekend visit. If I lived in the RVA area I would be a regular here! Love the campy decor, drinks, and eccentric clientele. Reminds me of a few long gone places we used to frequent along Brooklyn’s outer edge.“

“My pop came through town about two weeks ago. He said he wanted to grab lunch. I work nearby, and knew he loves a good burger. I was concerned because my mother (who loves cooking, loves learning new recipes, but has her classics and go-to’s, makes his burgers) would never hear the end of it, if the meal was awesome. Well. I was right. So my mom and my pops came to town and wanted to have dinner, with me and my partner. After politely asking us recommendations and subtly dodging each place my partner and I mentioned. My mom asks, “Where did you take Daddy for lunch?” We ended up hanging out and chatting while the staff started to close up. Great food. Every time. Great fast friendly service. Every time. Need a restaurant that your parents like to get them to visit? (Probably not) but THANK YOU, EAZZY BURGER!“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We finally made it to SB’s Love Shack and WOW — what an absolute gem. It’s a smaller café, so when it’s cold there can be a short wait and limited indoor seating (no reservations), but it totally makes sense for the size. When the weather’s warm, they have a large patio. They’re open 9–2, and the staff was so warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The décor is super unique with a total RVA vibe. The food was unreal. I had the Glitter on a Mattress (Texas toast with bacon & sausage gravy, a side of bacon, and edible glitter ✨) and it was SO good — and huge. We also tried the French toast with flavored fruit cream and a breakfast sandwich, and everything was amazing. Parking is limited in the front, but there’s plenty around the back and an easy walk-up through a covered patio area. Great food, great service, fun atmosphere. Highly recommend — can’t wait to go back. 💕🍳✨“

“On 08/03/2022, my wife and I brought our cousins here to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The food and service was excellent. Our waiter was Sean. HOWEVER, during the reservation process, I was asked at least twice if there was a celebration and if so what type. I indicated on both occasions that it was a anniversary. I just assumed that when I was asked about the occasion that this occasion would somehow be acknowledged. It wasn't. (Happy anniversary). I heard the waiter at the table next to ours wish the celebrants a happy anniversary. Also, based on other reviews on this site, I noticed that a dessert was given to the celebrants as a memento. Not to our party. As I said, the service and food were excellent but missing the little "happy anniversary" left me and my wife feeling a little empty.“

“We’ve been dying to try this place and it is so good! The people working this afternoon were so nice and ready to help us (I had been studying the menu online though, so we knew exactly what we wanted! If you’re not sure though, they are more than willing to help), and the food was delicious and substantially portioned. The salsa bar to dress things up is amazing, but everything was incredible even without it. I got all the vegetarian stuff and I can’t wait to try more. My husband got the chicken mole on the bone and a pork guiso and now he’s fantasizing about catering a party from here because it is so homey and tastes so comforting. We went with the platillo medio option to try 2 guisos each, and with that we had leftovers, which is great for breakfast or lunch tomorrow. I will say the spicy stuff wasn’t very spicy if you like some heat, but it’s all seasoned really nicely. Corn tortillas were great, and they seemed super conscientious about that for gf guests. Definitely lives up to the hype!“

“I will turn 75 years old on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020. All I want for my birthday is some of the delicious pub grub from The Cask Cafe, and a growler or two of selections from the world’s (and Richmond’s) greatest brews. Unfortunately, this will be via touch-free curbside pickup. I’d much rather sit at the bar and chat about the role of diacetyl in English pub bitters, or the varieties of Bohemian or Moravian hops available in commercial Czech lagers...but not this year. The cask is Richmond’s best bar for real beer afficionados, IMHO. DAN MOUER“
