“We went to Grisette based on the reviews here and as hard it is to believe, Grisette lived up to the billing. Service was excellent, knowledgable, personable, and well timed. We had a dealer's choice prepared for us and it was excellent, we continued to drink rounds of them throughout our meal, a precise balance of fruity, tart, and gently bitter through the finale. The smorgasbord was delicious, we chose our own assortment, but it was totally enlivened by the accompanying pickles and fruit, and the bread, which was spectacular. I could have made a meal out of the bread and butter alone. We wwent steak heavy for dinner, though my wife had a duck breast, which she loved. We ordered both the steak upgrade, which was a dry aged strip steak when we were there, as well as the denver steak which is the standard steak frittes here. The strip was definitely worth the upgrade, a very nice piece of meat, properly cooked and accompanied by deliciously crisp and potatoey fries. The denver steak was fine, a smaller portion which would be better suited for a midweek meal for me, but not as succulent as the strip. Desserts are few, well executed profiteroles as well as a chocolate flan on ths night which more closely resembled a chocolate mousse cake, so rich, silken, and accompanied by scotch poached pears which would have made for a might fine dessert on there own if accompanied by some gently spiced vanilla alced ice cream. With all the drinks and upgrade steaks it was not an inexpensive evening, though one can certainly eat here on a budget. Even though it turned out to be pricier than expected the value proposition here is terrific, you get great food for your money. I hate to join the chorus and heap glowing praise on here, but if you can try it you should. Grisette should have. michelin star, it does what it does exceptionally well and with a sense of pride and passion. We ate on the patio, which we loved, but that's the only reason for the 4 star review for atmosphere which will bring down the score a hair perhaps, not going to keep us from returning though!“

“Delicious food, mediocre service and 0 stars for not being friendly to kids. Would not recommend bringing your kids here as you’ll get lots of eye rolls and passive aggressive attitudes towards your children. Also asked for a replacement Thai iced tea after mine came with coconut milk and was supposed to be half and half and serve was very clearly frustrated and offered zero resolution other than “being out of half and half so that’s all we can do”. Will just order carry out next time so we don’t have to deal with the poor service.“

“I ordered the hamburger with fries. It was a dollar or two less than the restaurant next door. I am so glad I did because the burger was fantastic! Very fresh and a great tasting. The service was great too. Yes, it cost a little more at other locations but hey, we are at an airport! I don't expect to see prices like we would see in the community.“

“DRR catered our wedding on 6/8/24. They were punctual, professional, and knew what they were doing! I had a stress free day with them at my wedding! The bartender was also incredibly personable! She had even took time to visit my wedding website so she knew what to expect. I was shocked (in a positive way!) it truly shows just how dedicated they are to their customers. HOWEVER, during the reservation process, I was asked at least twice if there was a celebration and if so what type. I indicated on both occasions that it was a anniversary. I just assumed that when I was asked about the occasion that this occasion would somehow be acknowledged. It wasn't. (Happy anniversary). I heard the waiter at the table next to ours wish the celebrants a happy anniversary. Also, based on other reviews on this site, I noticed that a dessert was given to the celebrants as a memento. Not to our party. As I said, the service and food were excellent but missing the little "happy anniversary" left me and my wife feeling a little empty.“

Not only have we dining multiple times, recently I was in a pinch for a cocktail party and found relief. At the very last minute I was able to place a catering order for three signature dishes and they were all crowd favorites! If you live in the neighborhood do yourself a favor and check them out. “First off my Wife cannot eat anything with dairy and our Waiter had the cook put something together for her to eat??THANK YOU?? the dish not only looked like a painting but it was delicious.
I got the dish with the drizzle of dressing on it and a Corona Beer with lime.
From the pictures hopefully you can see we scoffed down the entire meal. Total Bill just $43 Bucks. Between the food quality and the ambiance of sitting outside along the water way it all just seemed too surreal. We were just visiting this Great State and actually walked back to our hotel feeling a little light footed and smiled at each other that we found a little diamond in the ruff in downtown Virginia. I didn't see anywhere to park. Perhaps park your car opposite the highway feed the meter and walk down.

I recommend an evening for Lunch or Dinner and of course tell them THE GURU sent you. Enjoy?

“Attended the Wade Cellars wine tasting hosted here by Chef Mike Lindsey and it was phenomenal.The restaurant is on the smaller side, but very well put together, inviting, and has charm.I haven't tried menu items from Jubilee yet, but after this experience, we will definitely be back!“
